| He's a tackling machine but not especially great with the ball.

| I don't think he's all that much to be honest. An honest hardworker in defence but he doesn't hit hard very often and has less to offer in attack than almost everyone else in the NRL.

I bet he'll be a massive loss to Melbourne next season, the amount of work he does is massive and alot of the time it goes unnoticed because of the likes of Slater and Inglis' attacking brilliance. It's okay been great in attack but if you cant defend you'll never win a thing and he's one of the very best in defence IMO.

He's basically a passenger in attack. Hit hitups are weak as . He spends more time going backwards than the Italian Army in WWII.
As for his defence, he'll make a million tackles a game, which is great, but he'll hurt no one. There is no sting. If you're a forward running at the line, you won't yourself if Dallas Johnson is in front of you.
They'll miss him, but I don't think they'll miss him as much as you think.

We'll have to wait and see. They have signed Todd Lowrie from the Eels who'll replace Johnson and with Bellamy's record he'll probably end up an Origin player.

| Lowrie was in great form for half of 2009, I fully expect him to do well with Melbourne.
John Kite is a good signing too. The Storm should get Russell Packer down there, he's got massive potential. I don't have a whole lot of confidence in the Warriors, as good as it would be for Packer to stay with them and excel.

| The Storm have signed quite a few players this season.
Todd Lowrie, John Kite, Chase Stanley, Luke MacDougal, Atelea Vea.
Who do you think will replace Chambers and Turner on the right?
And what's happened to Anthony Quinn, is he still there?

| Quinn is still there, he had a neck injury. Don't know if he's right yet, that was about a month before the Finals.
Stanley had a lot of wraps when he came onto the scene, but hasn't done much since. They seemed undecided as to what position he should play at the Dragons, under both Brown and Bennett.
Pup MacDougal is potentially a good signing. I reckon Bellamy can get his attitude right, but his injuries will probably still plague him.
Don't know anything about Vea, but they've signed pretty well to me.

Sorry mate, but you haven't quite got it right.
Everyone at Storm (and a hell of a lot of their fans) have known for years that DJ and his missus want to travel and experience life in Europe. This is an opportunity he thought was too good to refuse so he grabbed it - and good on him. Those in the know tell me that if push had come to shove Storm would have squeezed them both under the cap but that if someone [ihad[/i to go it wouldn't have been DJ.
DJ had the out clause. DJ chose to leave.

| Mal Meninga wants to be able to pick Dallas Johnson for QLD next season even though he'll be playing in France with Catalans. He wants the ARL to change the rules so that he can play. I bet Catalans dont want him being picked and missing 6 weeks of the SL season to go back and play Origin.
Just pick someone else Mal. David Stagg, Corey Parker, there's plenty of others that will be hoping to get a chance and are as good as Johnson.

| Interesting one there.
If they open the door there'll be loads going, well, the amount outgoing's been limited by that tax dodge closing but SL will target the highest earning stars if this rule changed, drop 3 average imports and go for a Smith or Hayne etc
