ABW.:

Quote: NickyKiss "I thought it was an excellent day at Hull yesterday. The atmosphere was pretty good after a slow start and the exceptionally sad news about Steve Prescott played its part in that.

I love the KC stadium. The only gripe I can have about it is the car park. It took us an hour and 20 minutes to get off after the game. Other then that though it's a great facility and we had a top day.'"

I've been stuck on there a few times. Yesterday we managed to find a side street about 10 mins walk from the ground. We had absolutely no problem getting out.

Quote: Dougy "Think for an Australia test we should look at Elland Rd or the COMS like we did in 04 or 05. Stick to a Wigan/Hudds/Hull for the Kiwis then a Warrington/Widnes for the other nation. The final will be the other of Elland Rd/COMS.'"

We're getting off topic but NZ-Aus should be in London in my opinion - Would be a way of spreading the geographical spread without losing much in the way of attendance.

Your right about next years Four Nations being down under. 2015 is free but a GB tour is hoped with a long awaited Ashes series, but if not, let's just play the Aussies once and play NZ in a series. If even that is not possible, then poss Aussies once, Kiwis once, PNG and Fiji. That would still be a great tour and you can imagine PNG and Fiji being really tough if played in their home countries.
That would be something completely different for the players to look forward to.
2016 is a home Four Nations, then 2017 is a SH World Cup.
So really, looking at that, we are only at home for one comp in next 4 years.

A fool shows his annoyance at once, but a prudent man overlooks an insult”:

hear hear.....lets stay away from elland road, man city ground is an excellent choice and I would try to have all finals at old traffold get people use to having it as the final stadium.

now the failed tennis fella as gone with his policy of smaller and smaller ground lets think bigger and why not start planning for a 4 nation comp back on our shore in a few years time

Book the stadiums now and start selling early bird tickets now strike whilst the iron is hot, even go so mad as allowing overseas fans to plan and save up for it by giving a couple of years notice

Great to have 2 more games on today and sold out again

1 hour 20m?....I am envious it took me 1 hour 40 icon_eek.gif

It is a problem for games at the K.C, I am surprised the local authorities / police haven't looked into it before.

That said it is a fantastic stadium and being a tall fella had just enough leg room and felt comfortable in my seat (cannot say that of Elland Road, Old Trafford etc).

One point on yesterday that I hope the organisers look into is the game restarting in the 2nd half with the children still walking around behind the dead ball line. It doesn't bear thinking what would have happened if England would have tried a kick in goal icon_eek.gif

I was sat at that end and it certainly looked to have spooked the Fijians at the k.o

I used it yesterday, superb. Plenty of parking, £2.50 return, drop off right outside the ground, and then pick up in the same place, back to the park and ride and straight out onto Clive Sullivan Way.

Only gripe I had was that the last bus leaves only 20 minutes after the end of the game, so you don't have much time to congratulate the team at the end, it was straight out and a brisk walk back to get to the bus, which with my sciatica is very difficult to do at the best of times.

We finally gave up trying to get off the exits near the arena part and followed some cars on a route behind the 5 a side pitches which went round the back of the east stand and came out on the main road.

Miles better that exit.

HUDDERSFIELD - THE BIRTHPLACE OF RUGBY LEAGUE:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_43854.jpg

Quote: Bullseye "The games seem to have attracted a different demographic than your average club game. That's meant a different atmosphere. In some ways I've preferred it. There's more positivity, less foul language, fewer boozed up idiots, people are there to have fun.

More of the same please.'"

this is a good point, flogging cheap tickets has got people in who wouldnt normally go to a rugby league game or even know the rules.. so not exactly going to be cheering their heads off.

But if they come back or start to support their local club it will have worked

mexican waves going round at the England matches... is this because people are bored of watching the game on show? or actually not even interested in the game itself
