Seen a photo of the incident from a screen shot from the TV coverage... shoulder charge to the head for definite, red card warranted, though there was a strong case for him being sent off in the first half for a cheap shot. |

Thaler did not send him off for a shoulder charge though, that much is clear, he sent him off for a late challenge which made contact with the head... which actually now appears to be a poor call, there doesn't, appear to be contact with the head for me. Equally, I at least admire Thaler for making a decision & not been afraid to get the card out even if the video proves that they got it wrong. |

I'd suggest you need specsavers, s right shoulder hits Bosc in the head, get a shoulder charge wrong = red card, simple as |

Tweedle dum and tweedle dummer keep reffering to the penalty count as if it is somehow wrong, they could easily have had another half a dozen against them without argument

Does it? Not so sure myself, from one angle it does look that way, but the other two seem to show no contact with the head. I also agree with Thaler, it wasn't a shoulder charge, it was late, but only just and not sure it was anything more than that. His earlier swinging arm of course is a different discussion!

If you look up the word shi*house in the dictionary there's a photo of Sculthorpe at the side of it. |

On it's own the sending off was a bit harsh, but after penalty after penalty the ref just had enough and he was unlucky to be the player who was going.
I think it will be sending off sufficient and end of story.

I'm inclined to take McDermott's comments with a pinch of salt. I don't know what the actual difference is between the penalties awared to Catalans and the next team down the rankings, but I can't imagine it is enough to cause any alarm.
Similar comments about the influence of the home crowd have been made about most big clubs. It has certainly been said about the South Stand at Headingley, the old Pop Stand at Knowsley Road and the Main Stand at Warrington.
