Quote: FlexWheeler "No he doesn't.

The extent of his coaching is ''BASH EM, JUST F*CKING BASH EM. HE'S LOW ON CONFIDENCE, BASH HIM''

He's a limited coach that won't last long term.'"

And you know this how exactly?

Still, when his limited knowledge of the game catches up with Wigan, they can always call on your expertise I suppose.

They were filmed for the WCC in feb and it was on sky sports last night. He was talking about being reckless and knocking people out. He's an ape in a suit.

You really think with a camera in his face, he'd reveal his cards? icon_lol.gif

So you've seen a segment of a half time team speech on a documentary and are now the expert on a coaches ability, a coach for that matter who incidentally cleaned up last year and has got a team to the grand final for the second year running icon_lol.gif You'd best get onto Alex Ferguson and tell him he had it all wrong at Man Utd for over 20 years by screaming and shouting and using the hair dryer treatment telling his team to get stuck in.

No doubt you saw all the analysis that went on in the background but choose to ignore it as it would be counter productive to your point.

This was Rugby League the last time I checked. Getting stuck in and under a teams skin is part of the battle. And in that Sydney game the only chance to get anywhere near a team that had the physical edge on us was to get "stuck in and reckless".

But yeah, I'm sure you know much more about Coaching than that big Ape over at Wigan who had the CC and SL Trophy in his hands last year.....

Quote: Cronus "What, one comment?

And he was correct, there were some bizarre decisions, not least the two disallowed tries. Both should have stood, in both cases the receiving player was behind the passer and while the ball travelled forward relative to the ground, it didn't relative to the players. It doesn't help when the passer is stopped dead after passing, but both decisions were wrong. Lockers' pass for the winning try was more forward than either of those.

Apart from that he was highly complimentary of Warrington and took a gentle poke at Yorkshire. But don't let that sour the bitter taste in your mouth.

Great game, Wigan should have been clear by half time but Warrington's defence was outstanding and they almost turned the tide. Defences were on top but that's what wins you the big games. Truly great game.
There is no point trying to debate with you as your parochialism has understandably clouded your judgement.

It was an exciting game though.

Wire shouldn't have had the ball for Monaghans try, talking about the onside/offside is besides the point. Bowen had the ball on the ground just inside the field of play, Atkins picked him up and pushed him back. Penalty Wigan, as soon as he laid a finger on Bowen the tackle was complete.

Once you understand the meaning of the word 'parochial' you should try again.

Yes, it was.

Penalty Warrington, voluntary tackle would have been the correct call.

So Bowen laid on the floor waiting to be tackled? Volantary tackle then?

You'd better phone Ian Lenegan, quick, and tell him about this progamme you saw on TV. The crazy fool is probably just blinded by the grand finals and all the successful home grown players. Little does he know that you've found out his coach is no good.

Quote: K-Diddy "So Bowen laid on the floor waiting to be tackled? Volantary tackle then?'"

I thought that was a possible call at the time, wouldn't have had much argument with it. I think in this case Bowen was already clear of the line, but there are cases all the time where a player in goal dives forward to get the ball in front of the line and isn't called for a voluntary tackle, even though you couldn't claim he was genuinely trying to stay on his feet and avoid a tackle.

It was edited you plank. Do you really.think Wigan would broadcast tactical things to the world in the middle of the play offs.

A tackle is only voluntary if the player plays the ball before being tackled, which I'm not sure I agree with.
