Starbag, or whatever your name is, I did not mention you. If you will check my meticulous original post it was a serious suggestion about the future of championship one and not a reply to you, because I'm not even sure if we have spoken before.
The course language is hardly appreciated. Hey your entitled to your opinion - and I like the enthusiasm and the passion - but tone down the aggression, we're all just human beings trying to get on in life.

| Quote: sanjunien "nothing to do with antagonism
just plain facts - why can't Crusaders settle their debts before being allowed to continue trading ? simple enough question surely ?
it's outrageous !'" Long answer - because it would defy all logic and reason for the RFL to suspend the Super League season in such a way, especially as you have made no mention of any requirement for any of the other clubs to clear their debts. If this was the done thing and clubs that owed money were suspended from trading, then virtually no professional sports club or league in the country would currently be in operation. Short answer - I don't care and it's nothing to do with me or this thread.

Thanks for the support. They did do us proud. This difficult, nothing quite going right game, they can work against you. However the team dug in their heels and got the win they sorely needed. It's nice that in these times sportsmanship does exist. So thankyou Batholemew Smythe. Thankyou.

Where this aggression comes from, I do not know. You can't live your life bathed in the shallow waters of bitterness.
I think you need to get a sense of perspective. A sense of humour is key to a happy and fulfilled life. And laughing at yourself is a major part of that. So I promise, from now on, to spend as much time as I can laughing at yourself.
It's the least I can do.

it's everything to do with this thread
players at Crusaders when they played at the start of the clubs creation until not long ago, that is to say when Cru played in the Championship and players who helped them into SL ie CHAMPIONSHIP EXPANSION (see the connection ?) are still owed money and seem to have no chance of ever getting it.I bet you would be really happy if your employers didn't pay your wages and I bet you would be even happier that no legal process is in place to get some kind of compensation ? - how would you expect to feed your family ?
The players you have been following and cheering on over the past few seasons,if you're a Cru fan and any players ftrom other struggling clubs should be ensured some kind of payment/compensation when the club goes t**s up,don't you think ?
Other workers have protection, why not RL players ?

I agree that players should get some sort of protection but that's not a subject I am too interested in, nor could I care less about Crusaders and their financial hardships, and nor does this have anything whatsoever to do with the topic at hand. As far as I can tell the only reason you are persisting with this is because you misinterpreted my original comment, jumped the gun and reacted based on the mistaken belief that I have some sort of affinity to Crusaders or any other club. If you really want to have a discussion about Crusaders then start a new thread, I probably won't contribute because those sorts of threads are almost always extremely tedious.

sorry to be 'tedious' - it's just one of my many attributes...
so,to answer my original question - if the frrech clubs area no-no in the Championship, what are the Scorpions doing that's any better ? or is that also too 'tedious' for you to respond to ?

| Rugby league players get exactly the same kind of "protection" as any other employee in this country. If the company I work for goes bust I don't get paid either.

French clubs already have a semi-pro league to play in. Therefore having one team playing in another semi-pro league, especially one that requires much higher travelling costs, is pointless. French teams should either be in the semi-pro Elite league, or the full-time Super League. Having them in the Championship achieves nothing as it's no step up in terms of the infrastructure of the club. Scorpions are a semi-pro team and are thus playing in the relevant semi-pro competition. They don't have anything to do with Toulouse or any other French teams.

but that company is allowed to re-form under a different administrative set up and bear no responsabilities to ex staff ?
