Posts? Posts?! Well in my day we didn't have posts, we used have to take the drainpipes off the side of the terrace housing and stick them into the ground. The cross bar used to be the washing line, with washing still on it!
And thats if we had a house!

We used to play on a concrete floor covered in glass. The posts were painted on to a brick wall. The ball had tacks glued to it and also a ticking time-bomb inside that went off at full-time.

Brings a new meaning to the phrase 'he's put up a bomb'.

When i was in long shorts we couldn't even afford a ball. We had to pretend to pass it and dummy past Grandad. Fortunately he couldn't afford i hip replacement so was dead easy.
Played havoc though when i flew into the woods and we couldn't find it. The ball, not grandad.

| Looks like I’m not going to have a peaceful weekend if I end up staying with Union Fans!

| I have been informed by my local ticket office (Huddersfield Giants) that our allocation is in Block 20 in the West stand and I am pretty annoyed to be honest. A group of us are travelling to Edinburgh and staying Friday to Monday - season ticket holders of different clubs. In order for us to take advantage of the reduced ticket price I have been informed by the Giants that we have to book through the club and the allocated reserve seats in Block 20 are the only ones we can take as Giants season ticket holders. This means that to take advantage of 1/2 price tickets (and who wouldn't want to as the weekend is expensive anough as it is) we all sit apart in our allocated club blocks some with better views than others. I have not seen anywhere in the Magic Weekend blurb where this is pointed out. The East stand is practically on the pitch, the West stand has a blooming great track in front of it and the view from the upper tier is rubbish. I am really annoyed and thinking about contacting the RFL for a moan.

I think you have a good point. I've no problem with blocks being primarily associated with clubs, but surely they should also cater for people like yourself. This year, for the first time, every club is included on the 50% discount - so really you should be able to hand in any season ticket voucher at any club. It's not like we have to have absolute segregation in RL.
Also, Block 20 you say - that's the same one as Salford!

| Is it all reserved this year? One of the things I liked about Millennium Stadium was that we could move and sit with other fans and support that team if we wanted. Would be a shame if we couldn't do that this year.

| Just seen the diagram now. All of East and West reserved. Shame. I think they should have had the upper tier reserved and left the bottom tier unreserved like in Cardiff (middle-tier reserved and the rest unreserved).

it wont be sold out, so I guess you can just move around to an emptier section and sit together.
you do make some good points about the stadium though - it is a disgrace for viewing, whereever you end up sitting.
