| Quote: Anakin Skywalker "There is a chance the clubs who have walked out feel that if everyone plays happy familes the RFL will promise change and then as they are known for doing they just happen to change their minds at a later date.
With regard to Leeds I have had a feeling GH has had an eye on the RFL top job for a while and he may not want to rock any boats. I could be wrong and if anyone can prove evidence to the contrary I'll hold me hands up.'"
Best thing the game could do is appoint Hetherington to the top job. He has forgotten more about the game than people like Pearson and Lenighan will ever know.
He's always put the game first, many times to the detriment of the Rhinos in truth. Look what he achieved with Sheffield from scratch.
Could really be the catalyst the game needs to move forward.

What's made him change his tune in the last 2 years then?

| Message to the 'Super 6'. Feck off out of our game.
Just a thought from a Rugby League fan.

A colossal understatement. It is beyond any doubt whatsoever that the governance of the game is appallingly bad.
I do hope the 6 clubs are genuinely motivated by a desire to improve things rather than looking after their own selfish interests. The professional game desperately needs reform, otherwise we are heading for a semi-pro future at SL level, with yet more clubs going to go under.

If the 6 clubs have problems with the RFL governance then take that issue up, announce it in the press, hold meetings to discuss a way forward. I'd probably agree with them.
Walking out of meetings and putting the future structure of the sport in jeopardy (a separate issue to RFL governance) is "small town" and unprofessional. Obviously too hard to resist then for some parts of Rugby League.

The governance and the structure are linked, I'd suggest it is the RFL that want them separating, they probably dont want to discuss 1 part of it

| Quote: CM Punk "From Twitter:
Where in today's quote from Hetherington does he share his opinion on the performance of the guys in charge like in the Crusaders article? And that it differs differently today from what he said 2 years ago?
Oh it doesn't.
Merely saying he thinks its very poor that people would walk out of meetings.
I'd say nice try on your behalf but it wasn't, it was sh*te.

'Pass this and we will talk about restructuring the RFL honest'.
It gets passed.
'Nah we have changed our minds now sorry'.
The RFL wanted licencing.
Crusaders X2, Wakey, Bradford and Salford all go pop at some levels, The RFL use this as an excuse to get rid of licencing. The RFL release a statement saying that the reason for no sponsors is because the RFL have had to micromanage some SL clubs......................Honestly WTF?
So the reason for no SL sponsorship is due to the RFL having to micromanage clubs that included 5 clubs entering admin?
These are the guys in charge of RL? Honestly?

| This was a meeting of the SL clubs not a full RFL meeting?
So they were not being rail roaded by the RFL or the 'lower' clubs.
There where in discussions with their peers and walked out.
To me that just sounds like they know they are not going to win and so have taken the next step of stalling in the hope that any change runs out of time.
A bit like the Tory Toff's who would filibuster for hours to stop a bill. Except these guys are not even doing that, they just can't be bothered to talk at all.
Very surprised the likes of Hull KR, Huddersfield are in on this. Wigan would not have spat on them if they where on fire a few years ago.

That is what this appears to be, quite simply the RFL cannot be trusted
