| Quote rollin thunder="rollin thunder"I don’t know why people are bringing up Wakefield the Team/city itself they are in super league. The district is a small district and does the game need another SL team in this small geographic area? No if Fev deserve a shot then it should be at the expense of one of the other clubs in the district, my bet would be replace Trinity with Fev.'"
Ok bud, you've now fully exposed yourself
There isn't any mechanism for replacing Trinity with Fev but, thanks for your input.
Probably best if you crawl back to where you came from and enjoy that Leeds have been gifted a play off spot

| Quote rollin thunder="rollin thunder"No! I am deliberately being ridiculous, being tongue in cheek, being silly to try to just lighten the mood a bit.
But I stand by the point that Super League needs the biggest potential club for the 12th Spot, that will not be Fev or Leigh or even Widnes, it won’t be outpost club York or Newcastle (not this time anyway), It will be Toulouse or Bradford, and if Sky have an input maybe even London, but i doubt that.
Even traditionalists surely must realise that the game as a whole needs this not teams that at the very best will attract 4-5k and thats boosted by the big boys coming to town and a couple of local derbies.'"
Have you ever heard of being there on merit it's what competitions are about it's been proven that buying into the game clearly doesn't work, gloss it all you can it's what happens on the field that matters David and goliath brings in drama and head turning

There will be a mechanism if Franchises come back which is a real possibility, Fev may get their chance then, but by then Trinity will have some more artist sketch plans of some proposed new ground/ stadium development won’t they?
Thanks for the play off Support I am sure you will be supporting the West Yorkshire side.

It needs the "biggest potential club" and you mention London
London as a city should be able to produce a huge club but, did you see their crowds last season (or the one before).
WTF happened to promoting the top club.
If "we" start putting in our "favourites" for ANY reason, the game is done and no longer and it will have finally sold it's soul.
The best side on the field of play should be promoted and the worst, relegated.
You do remember how the much revered Bradford Bulls fell from grace, dont you and how desperately the RFL tried to prevent them from doing so ??
Manipulating the league, much as we seem to have done with the play offs this time around, is going to do more harm than good.
Yes, Mr Hetherington will be happy but the game just looks bent.
How on earth some clubs "shouldn't play because of "lockdown" while at the same time allowing others to carry on is just bloody ridiculous.
RL is making itself look stupid (again)

| As a purely personal choice, we used to have great times at Leigh, :pfvq0683especially in their clubhouse
:pfvq0683
The last outing to Fev, left a bitter taste due to the scurrilous antics on the pitch, but the :pfvq0683clubhouse:pfvq0683 was full of characters, ex players, and coaches, as with Leigh a great time, and tidy facilities.
Widnes with warm hearted people, a fine history, :pfvq0683pubs were good, :pfvq0683
Halifax, steeped in rugby league, still in Yorkshire, and the :pfvq0683beer was better than Widnes:pfvq0683.
Batley/Bramley/Hunslet/Keighley/ loved going to all those grounds :pfvq0683and the beer was always good.
That there, London, now we’ve had great times, Fulham, were you could walk down the back of the stand and see the Thames next to you, and even caught a glimpse of diddy David Hamilton, with a blonde on each arm, obviously great for a weekender, but there was just something wherever we went to London that wasn’t right, I can’t put my finger on it.

Read the comment again i said “ if Sky have an input maybe even London, but i doubt that” I have not said London should come up, and yes i remember what happened to Bradford and there is a huge reason why the Super League would be stronger again with them in and why the SL wanted to keep them in it. They maybe don't deserve it but the game is strong with them in it over all the other candidates except maybe Toulouse. Sorry but the game is not strong enough to support boom n bust P&R so what if few perennial minnow teams supporters take there bat n ball home, the decision as to who becomes the12th team us vital to the games future. As no championship this year so nobody can claim to Rightly be the team to be promoted. It will be the perceived biggest club that can bring the most to the game.
Sorry if you don’t like it but thats the way it is and will be.
They may decide Fev or Leigh are the best prospect but we all know thats unlikely.

| Should be a pre-requisite that any club playing in SL has a train station. I mean, what sort of self-respecting town isn't accessible by rail?

What a load of tosh !!
Bradford were the epitome of boom and bust as were Toronto but, people like you would give them preferential treatment
You say the decision on the 12th club is vital. Well, actually, no it isnt, as it could be all change when the new (lower) TV deal is agreed and there is every possibility that there will be a further change to both SL and The Championship.
As for Fev and Leigh, you may be right about Fev but, Leigh have themselves in a very strong position both on and off the field.
It's fundamentally wrong to elevate (falsely promote) any club that hasn't been able to mount any sort of challenge at the top of The Championship, absolutely wrong.
This is not any personal bias for or against ANY club but, just what is RL wanting to do ?

| Quote Big Jim Slade="Big Jim Slade"It should be either Toronto or Hull KR should also be kicked out for failing to complete the season, consistency would be nice.
From this list London or Tolouse and they should be exempt from relegation for 2-3 seasons. If we don't want the game to die we have to help it grow. Sorry for Leigh/Fev/whoever but it's getting very close to crunch time.'"
We have only forfeited the last game of the season due to not been able to raise a team due to a Covid outbreak. Salford forfeited a fixture earlier in the season and Catalans, Cas have both played less matches then us this season. We have also paid all our players on time and don't owe them any money unlike Toronto. Plenty of other teams this year have had to pull out of a fixture and reschedule due to Covid outbreaks, we just don't have that luxury as the season finishes this weekend. But don't let these facts get in the way.

| Funny how Wakefield had to up 14 players missing one week and have still managed more games in the “regular” season than any other club.

| Instead of all the smoke and mirrors, The RFL and SL may as well just announce who they want in and give that club every chance of putting a squad together for next season.
They'll probably pick someone like Ottawa over clubs like Fev or Leigh.
After all, they probably have someone in mind already
