Quote Sir Kevin Sinfield="Sir Kevin Sinfield"NRL crowds are up 5.5 per cent year on year, with an average crowd in 2018 of 16,620.Those figures are from the end of May.'"
The correct figure for the entire regular season is 2.3% (15,260) up on 2017 (14,919) which basically regained the loss from 2016 (15,214). NRL crowds are down 7% over the last 9 years from a a high of 16,406 in 2010.....Gold coast v Manly got 5,135 this year.....
Greater Western Sydney AFL side, the sick puppy and running joke among insecure Aussie NRL fans achieved a better average attendance this year than both Manly and Paramatta....as did the Western Sydney Soccer side......the Sydney Swans AFL side achieved the highest average attendance in bot the city as well as over all 16 NRL sides including Brisbane.
As for the comparison with Salford, Manchester and its suburbs doesn't lay (false) claim to be the home of the biggest and most popular game in the country, Sydney does and it's a lie......the attendances at NRL games are shocking and the reason that 11 of the 16 NRL clubs will post losses this year (before income from their pokey addicted league clubs is added).
