| This has been dire. The backs selections and playbook point to a coach without the imagination or skill to make the most of the best British pack for decades.

| Williams will be a very good player in years to come, but it's only fair to the lad himself to take him out of the firing line now, he looked shot at the end.

| Just to add to that, Widdop escapes a lot of criticism but he too was woeful, has looked average at best for a while in an England shirt and needs to start stepping up as the senior half.

| Waste of an afternoon watching that. GB awful, only consolation being defence. NZ pretty poor too, try wasn't exactly through great play and didn't really look like scoring even with all the repeat sets, solid defence but not tested. Ref was shockingbwith no consistency in how he reffed the tackle (got things wrong for both teams but seemed to allow NZ much more messing about in the 2nd half).

| Tbf, in the previous two years the team has tried being more adventurous in attack but this series strikes me as a coach who is being deadly conservative because he knows he needs to win this series to keep his job and is trying to grind himself to wins.
But as shown by England's RU and Cricket recently, boring tedious off fashioned play will get you nowhere. Leeds Rhinos this year showed what playing with some style can get you.

| I rate Williams, he has huge potential, and you can't blame the selectors for giving him a chance - but he was the reason England lost. Widdop was on his own at halfback and not only did Williams do nothing, he was actually a liability, even to the end.
In the second half, Luke cam eon and gave a MoM performance of intelligence and control and kicked us to death.
Williams in contrast today kicked appallingly, and was slow, ponderous, clumsy and often caught in possession. The result was that we almost never got a repeat set, and so never got a decent spell on attack, but just routinely gave the ball back.
It isn't Williams' fault i suppose that he had such a mare, and it wasn't predictable, but Gale must already be polishing his boots for the decider, Williams won't be anywhere near the squad.

| No structure, no organisation, no game plan other than trucking it up the middle. That only works if the opposition keep giving you good possession and good field position. When they don't, they can just stack in and smother the ball.
Both halves were pretty mediocre, didn't appear capable of grabbing hold of the game when it was obvious route one wasn't working. Apart from driving the ball out from kicks, 1-5 on the team sheet may as well have been sat in the stands for all the decent ball they got.

| Gale for Williams, Bateman for Whitehead, anybody who has ever played centre before ever for Bateman.

| Williams is being caught with ball in hand too many time. He shouldn't of been picked for this series, he's had one good season for Wigan and all of a sudden England's hopes are seeming to be thrust upon his shoulders. He is going to be a good player, I just hope this series doesn't dent his confidence. I personally would have assessed Williams after next season

Warrington led 16-2 in Saturday's Grand Final, but their joy was short-lived as Wigan roared back to win the Super League title and extend the Wire's 58-year wait to be champions:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_10174.png |

| Having watched Williams all year, that type of performance isn't untypical. Brilliant one week, anonymous the next. He'll learn with experience, but no way should he be scapegoated as the reason we lost that test. Play him on his home ground next week and he'll more than likely rip it up.

| We're crying out for some halfbacks with wide ranging passing games, who can create space. Sinfield wasn't perfect but he at least has that ability, Tomkins does, as well. Widdop has proven himself to be unbelievably average, yet again, and having been brought up in the Aussie system you'd assume he'd at least be able to deliver an accurate pass to both sides.
Williams is 21 years old, he'll make mistakes, we have to be patient, but he'll know that a few more performances like he put in today will soon see him out of the side.
Overall the defense was fantastic, and there was nothing between the sides, but England's pivots were poor, and the forwards seemed to lack energy.
The most frustrating thing for me though was our persistence of going to the left in attack. This goes back to my first point about halfbacks not being able to pass accurately in both directions. We have our most attacking back rower, best centre, and fastest winger on the right, yet we continuously don't try to put them in space.

| Gale has being a top performer for us week in week out and deserves a shot. Will banana agree i think not.
Williams will be selected next week regardless of that shower of **** he served up today (not the only 1 i may add) as he plays for Wigan.
Dare i say if Banana was not in charge i think we would have seen Brough and Gale as England halves and if that was the case i think we would be 2-0 up.

| Embarrassing for Rugby League, Mcbananas team selection has been consistantly poor for all his time as England coach. Williams, Bateman, Whitehead no where near international quality yet! clueless

| Gale should have been first choice at the start of the series, but I can't see him making any big changes for the last game, I'd consider bringing Westwood into the back row to add the bit of punch that Whitehead and Farrell don't provide.
