So there we have it everyone. It's not actually happening. The same person keeps telling us it's not. So it can't be.
It's just a local spat. Unless it's World Rugby itself actually doing the deed then it doesn't happen. It's just a local spat.
We've had a few local spats recently. Morocco, UAE, Italy amongst others.
It's just a local spat folks. Stop being such chippy northerners you lot. You're not supposed to try and help the sport you support spread in the face of hostility, legal threats and state corruption from a bigger, more established sport that has friends in governments.

Yes, because bureaucracy is transparent and adhering to the law in the UAE is all so clear cut.
There will be a story at the end of this, the very telling part is that the charges and claims all are being lead by the UAE RU. Not from NISSAN or instigated by the the local authority for sport.
Amazing how now the UAE RU lays claim to governance of the sports of touch and league days after this all blew up. |

RL being played anywhere has NOTHING to do with any RU organisation. This is RU at it's worst and needs dealing with.

If it's so simple to sort out why don't the IRB get on the phone to UAERL and tell them that in no other part of the world does The NGB for RU also administer the RL competition.
It's that simple so why haven't they done it?

What paperwork? What exactly are you suggesting he should have done? Affiliate himself with a governing body for a totally different sport? Does the UAE baseball federation have to affiliate itself with UAE Cricket in order to avoid being shut down and the owner arrested? |

Even more amazing how at just the same the time the Italian RFU, the FIR, laid claim to governance of all forms of Rugby League in Italy.

The paperwork Tha all sports need to complete to operate in the UAE. Read the article in the link I posted......the reason sport flourishes in the area is because it is ordered......the guy was well meaning but naive at best.......and still no word from Nissan.as for HIM......i have yet to read of any initial involvement from outside parties.....this is a local issue. |

So, the [uLOCAL[/u Union lot grassed up the [uLOCAL[/u league lot and the [uLOCAL[/u authorities are dealing with it. The RLIF have released a statement saying that they and World Rugby are aware that they govern differing sports and this has been relayed to the LOCALS in UAE. Nissan have yet to comment  |
