No Wire player will be considered as they've played well as a unit all season. No individual has really stood out head and shoulders above the rest. If I had to pick one, I'd say Chris Hill.

Roby and Tompkins deserved favourites, from my club danny Houghton has been tremendous behind a pack with so many injuries, does not always have to be a star.

Remi Casty by a kilometer

I would be quite happy if Tomkins wins it. He is one of the few genuine superstars in SL and deserves to be recognised accordingly.

With my Leeds hat on I think Kevin Sinfield deserves to be in the mix this year. Pretty much the only time Tomkins was found wanting came in the CC semi against Leeds, and this was largely Sinfield's doing. He hasn't been as consistent, but a good performance in the final against Wire could bring him into contention.

Tomkins is the only contender for me, pointless having a shortlist, just announce it ahead of time.

dureau has been too inconsistent for me, but well see what he turns in in the next few games.

does this award depend on who the players think deserves it? or has it changed?

Lee Briers is the only one for me. Sam is not the full monty just yet.

Remi Casty has been outstanding in the home games this season either as an impact sub or starter - the captaincy has given him an extra edge
he won't get any MOM award in a million years cos' he's not in a 'sexy' position like Chase,Tomkins or Dureau etc but he really has been exceptional this season and is the Catalans player of the season by far

He'll need to win the CC on his own to win MoS this season.
