Quote: Gronk! "Multiple Cas fans had fireworks fired at them before the game, there has been video footage sent to the RFL.

Which club had a spectator run onto the playing field and confront an official last year that the RFL let slide?
Wakefield fans started the bottle & firework throwing last week, which is all on video.

So you should stop being factually incorrect too icon_lol.gif

Quote: Wildthing ".... and up pops Gronk!, who is desperate for Wakefield to get a fine!!

Seen enough video evidence that the RFL currently have that shows Wakefield fans starting it, and the fireworks thing just adds to Wakefield's problems.

Also, not desperate just looking for the RFL to be consistent for once, Wakefield deserve a fine and only Wakefield should be fined because of the precedent the RFL have set in the past.

Very helpful of you.

You think Cas fans were totally blameless the other night, I don't.
No further disussion required really. Have a good evening.'"

Fine pretend that's not what you we're trying to achieve I don't believe you for one second why would a Cas kid having beer chucked over him be relevant or some Cas fans cars being relevant to a discussion on crowd violence at wakey? why say the Cas fans think there blameless for these two incidents, of course the castleford fans were blameless in these incidents, they were the victims, how could it be seen any other way? ( don't really expect you to answer that one as it makes your post seem even more foolish).
Where have I said Cas fans were blameless at wakey? Don't really expect you to answer that either.

Gronk, there were some disgraceful scenes on Friday night, including an element of non-rugby fans who appeared to be there to involve themselves in some sort of disorder.
If there were fireworks thrown and I personally didnt see any, they were of the silent variety because I didnt hear any either.
"Supporters" of both teams were involved and to try and blame one faction more than another is futile.
I hope the investigation can rid the game of all those who brought shame on a family sport, so I suggest you wait for the enquiry outcome before stating so many "facts", especially as you wern't even there.

Arguing aside I am not condoning the actions of any Wakefield fans causing trouble. I hope the perpetrators are
banned for life if any evidence is actually found.

More often than not crowd trouble occurs in RL at a game that has been built up into a special event and as such attracts a crowd much larger than would usually be expected. This inevitably includes a limited number of individuals who don't normally attend matches and are there principally to stir up trouble.

As a Cas fan I attended a number of games at Post Office road in the 2 seasons that Cas spent outside of superleague and never saw any significant trouble. There was a degree of mouthing off by young 'cappers outside of the ground to Cas fans after the game but the club can't be blamed for that and of course nothing ever results from that unless the people being mouthed off at choose to react.

That said, I was at the Wakey game on Good Friday stood near the front of the North terrace and was completely unaware that any trouble had gone on until reading about it on the forums after the game. When we came out of the ground at the end we were shocked by the number of police outside and passed comment about it not being a football match!

I notice that all clubs say they will be ban for life do these people also get a heavy fine and taken to court. The reason I ask is firstly I don't know but if they have only come to cause bother banning them wont hurt that much it would only hurt if they were supporters that turn up all the time

From the video footage it looks like the fireworks were outside a pub and the bottles were towards the back of the stand.

The club also needs to stick some lights onto that roof by the looks of things icon_eek.gif

Quote: Wildthing "I was there and it was both supporters causing trouble, not one set only.
Funny how there was trouble at Cas V Hull KR, Cas V Hull FC, Wakefield V Cas and yet some Cas supporters
seem to think there fans were totally blameless in all games!

Wakefield V Hull KR was played a month or so ago and was attended by a similar crowd to the one last
week and not a hint of trouble. Funny that eh?'"

I'm not saying both supporters weren't involved. But it's a futile argument - Cas fans believe Wakey fans threw the first bottle, Wakey other way. I didn't see. But the one I did see came from the Wakey end and the Cas fans retaliated. Both as bad each other.

The fact remains, however, that it shouldn't have even been in that position in the first place. An unnecessary divide was created and the said divide was poorly stewarded/policed.
