I am sure that is how it will play out between your ears. Enjoy

| So anyway,
I am looking forward to the game but unfortunately we are playing Huddersfield when they are on the up and we are still waiting to fire.
Brough and Grix play well in broken play as do the young centres and I feel there could be a lot of it. If we don't contain that flow it will be a cricket score.
Saying that, we will fire soon and it would be great to be against Huddersfield. They have the knack of beating us in recent years and I feel they may try and steam roll our smaller pack, which I do feel is a bit of a mistake, but we will have to play expansive rugby and make a high scoring game if we are to have a chance.
It will be a good bench mark for Wakefield to see how we are improving.
The Huddersfield lads will be up for the game. They are effectively rejects from Huddersfield though incorrectly tagged from what I've seen, whereas the Wakefield lads at Hudderfield were bought to improve the team and we didn't want any of them to leave.
I guess we'll see how that motivates the two teams.

Our pack is not huge. This year the focus has been on tough defence, as ever under NB and a far more expansive game. It has been exciting to watch. When we beat Wigan at the JD all the tries were scored by props but only one was a short range 'barge over'. The first was Gilmour (not a big prop!) running a great line and cutting through the defence from 25m out. The last was Patrick following a half break from Grix taking the ball 40m+ out, outstripping the defence, side stepping past Tomkins and scoring. no steam rolling, just very athletic. With grix/Brough/ Robbo and brown all looking to put strong explosive athletes through gaps the wakey defence will have to be disciplined and focused for 80 mins.

Your right, there was some excellent rugby from y(our) guys this weekend. We're hoping for 5 daya and 5 nights of rain before Sunday, it might help keep the score down.

I disagree. I think we are trying to play the same rugby they are, just not quite at their level yet.
I'd rather it was hard ground and sunny and test their defense out too.

| I'm not expecting us to win but equally, I'm not expecting us to roll over like we've done in the recent past against Huddersfield - the game we won in a swamp last season was an aberration; I wouldn't mind another.
It won't be pleasant to watch former Wakey players turn us over, but I guess they will.

| Quote Cripesginger="Cripesginger"Why are these wakey kids posting on here so touchy?
On sunday we will probably have Brough Grix and George playing and they will have Raleigh, wilkes, kirmond and wood. I for one will be glad to see that we will have provided them with a large proportion of their uk players AND - in Wood - a young uk player.
I salute wakey for doing this rather than call them...bottom feeders or predators.'"
like how none have replied to this!

| Brough is from Thornhill. Kirklees service area. Has also played for Hull FC and Cas. Grix has played for Widnes, Fax before Wakey. George is a Huddersfield lad, started at Huddersfield academy and has spent as much time in rehab as on the pitch whilst at Wakey. Something amiss with the training methods or surfaces over there maybe? It is interesting how it's only Wakefield fans that ever try this kind of sniping and only in the run up to this fixture this weekend. The reality is that players play for various teams and you can include academies in this. It's all very transparent, very sad and very old. Our academy is far from perfect but Wakeys isn't the production line they try and make out either. It isn't like there are plenty of Huddersfield lads that have gone the other way. It's just that they claim them as their own once they have!
The main aim of an academy is to get players playing in your first team. In that regard our academy could do worse and is certainly doing better than plenty of others.
