Making contact with a kicker after the ball has gone isn't automatically an illegally late tackle, especially when the charger is committed. The ref, linesmen and VR didn't see it as illegal and Hoffman wasn't cited. Don't pretend it was an elbow - it was a shoulder charge, nothing more.
The majority consensus at the time (Saints fans apart, of course) was that Hoffman was committed and Wheeler needs to toughen up.  |

Yes, there are 10 entries, and the decisions were: 2 charge, 7 no-charge, and 1 entry with no information whatsoever (from the case number it appears to be a duplication). So in fact he's been "up infront of the beak" twice.
