| Well done Crusaders. Not sure where all these "whinos" are people keep mentioning. As far as I can tell most people are being rather pjilosophical about this loss.

| Quote Starbug="Starbug"It is impossible to compare the so called ' quality ' of games with the constant changing of the rules and the interpretation of rules we have
As for the Crusaders beating Leeds , well , it's not unusual for a team full of Aussies to win on English soil is it , they are basically Gateshead Thunders mark 2 , and could quite easily go the same way as the original'"
The Crusaders squad (from a rough look an on certain encyclopaedic website)
consists of.......
Wales 10
Australia 10
England 3
New Zealand 2
Malta 1
PNG 1
Samoa 1
Make of that what you like. But ten Welsh players playing in the top division can only be good for their international side.

| Quote Barry_McKenzie="Barry_McKenzie"Serious question.
What does this say about the calibre of English Superleague teams when a newly formed side consisting of unwanted Aussies, old age pensioners and rejects from other SL clubs look like they might make the play offs???
Is SL really this bad?'"
Serious answer, no SL isn't that bad. What you have with Crusaders is Brian Noble, as a coach he has specialised in orchestrating Leeds defeats.

| Damo, did you even go to the game?
I was there. We were awful. Poor passes and dire ball retention was our main problem, as has been the case throughout.
Credit where credit is due though, well played the Crusaders, had an opportunity and took it well!

Very true - Brian Noble and John Kear are both examples of coaches who can spot the smallest of weaknesses in any team and then build up their own teams self-belief to a point where, more often than not, they win - what is inexplicable is why their respective teams cannot do it every week ?
Both Noble and Kear have enabled their teams to dominate Leeds at the play-the-ball over several seasons, move up quickly, get in their faces and don't give them the opportunity to throw the ball around, its really simple stuff but it works every time.

But according to other people on this thread [iWe were awful. Poor passes and dire ball retention was our main problem, as has been the case throughout[/i
So that suggests its not really down to Brian noble at all its down to Leeds playing badly?

Well obviously it's both isn't it.
Had we played as we are capable of, we'd have beaten Crusaders regardless of their gameplan and tactics. Simple as.
But we were poor and Crusaders, to their and Noble's credit, got it spot on.
Lets move on, bring on Wire.

You have got Warrington next week?
ah.........
If your team can't beat a side like Crusaders (at Leeds) then I shudder to think what will happen against a half decent side like Warrington

Not always Jonny.
But you would have to think if a side like Leeds can't beat a side like Crusaders... at home... then a side like Warrington will give them a good flogging.
But RL is a funny old game Jonny.
We can never tell can we.
