| whens the last time saints had 2 sellouts in a regular season?
i think they got 1 sellout last year but i remember times when the wigan / saints derby got 13,000 at kr.
it shows the progress the clubs made
its a shame the new ground is only 18,000 they will be hitting capacity fairly quickly

| A nice steady increase.
But they've no chance of hitting 15,000 average next year as the new capacity isn't THAT much higher than the current one.
Can you see masses of people travelling from Wakefield on a friday night just because its a shiny new stadium? I can't

next season will be spent almost entirely in Widnes anyway, so we could be looking at around 6k as an average.

No, but there are tons of people who won't go now because of the ground. A lot of Saints fans go on their own because of the facilities, in a nice shiny ground they would probably take the family.
Look at the Hull and Warrington increases following their moves. The Wire for example increased their average by 41%. A similar increase for the Saints would see an average of 15,785 using last season as the 'before' figure.
Having said that your statement is correct. We won't average 15,000 next season. We'll be playing at Widnes for most of it so probably won't get above 6,000.

Which is only 500 higher than the current capacity of KR.
Whats interesting though is that over the last 3 years Saints crowds have increased whilst Leeds' have decreased

It might be because the league is tougher overall, and games where you're not sure of the outcome can be much more appealing than "oh, we're going to batter x again this weekend. Ho-hum."

| I bet Dally was claiming that Crusaders would average 10,000 after one game weren't you plonker, lets see the average at the end of the season when they've played Quins or Catalans etc and all fixtures are complete
