You do realise Roofs that all the RFL expansionist plans are specifically aimed at getting you out of rugby league by making it impossible for you to attend any games. They'll get there in the end. |

Ah right, I always thought it was just a very stubborn RFL refusing to admit that RL won't work in many places outside the M62 corridor  (inc London  ). |

Forgive my ignorance, but surely in such a case there is a clause (ala Super League clubs who were relegated) that the contracts are only valid on the proviso that the club is still competing in that division? |

Only if that clause was in the contract?
If there is no such clause in place then how can they legally end it?? |

Dont forget that SL and the NL,s/Championships are and always have been seperate competitions
There has never been ' criteria or certain outside standards ' that needed to be met to be promoted between the 2 divisions outside SL
Makes a change for things to go in our favour |

Dispensation or not, the status of your players contracts is a matter for your club to look into. Just because you were relegated, you don't have the right to break the cap because you have already signed Robbie Paul. There should have been (I suspect there was) a clause covering such an occurance.
Anyway, back on thread, you will p155 all over C1 next year. The only need for you to spend more than others in that division is if you really are going to have a pop at the Thomas the Tank Engine Cup as a route to a franchise application in 2011. |

No need as they a both divisions of the same competition , not separate competitions |
