Of course Wigan didn't have to win tonight. The league season is all about jostling for league positions. Its how your form is when you enter the playoffs that determine your season. Leeds have been absolutely f*cking abysmal this season. We have lost at home to Harlequins, Salford and were less than convincing against Celtic Crusaders. We also lost to an awful Bradford side at Odsal. Yet we are 3rd, with a better points difference than the top team and one win away from leading the competition.

If you think that what goes on between March and August is important then you are very naive.

No, no that's you all over. So I'll tell you what shall we just cut the middle bit out of the season? FWIW, Rovers first 2 seasons the middle parts are where we have shocking records and last season that cost us a top 6 spot!

Mate, I've been watching Leeds since the 80's. I'm fully aware of the ups and downs and the highs and lows a season brings. And I've been there when I thought that "this is the moment" that we break Wigan's dominance.

Unfortunately for our competition (and I mean this sincerely), Leeds and Saints (who have both been very average this season - Leeds bordering on frigging terrible) will be top two, and I suspect will contest the Grand Final. Hull KR may well finish top 4 - but in this competition, thats no great achievement. Do you honestly, hand on heart, see Hull KR going into an elimination playoff against Saints or Leeds and coming out on top?

Anyhow yeah it's not really worth arguing about and i'm knackered and so i'm going to go to bed happy because we're top of the league, atleast until tommorow

Hull KR are having a "wow" of a season and you're all getting excited, and Leeds are sh*t. So in that respect, 3 points maybe puts it all into context.
