I suspect he means that if you get a season pass, but don't go to one of the games for whatever reason, then you won't be counted in the attendance figures at that game rather than being counted as attending every game irrespective of if you go or not.

That (the idea not the post) makes no sense, surely fire, health and safety regs mean all stadia have to count attendance as accurately as possible?

ok really modern stadiums have computerised counters which lock each gate when its allocation has gone, there results in total are sent to a central database for crowd control reasons and official figures.

however......super league attendance figures, god knows, i heard at one point these kids tickets that are a tenner was so each club could include each one in every away gane
so for example if wakey has sold 300 its 300 every time we play away regardless of whether they go.

strangley if thats true its a very easy way of hitting the 8000 target.

and also if kids get freebies to be part of entertainment etc do they count?

no your missing the point
income has nothing to do with attendances, its a balance sheet item on the clubs accounts. far easier to fiddle the kids entry to parent than the attnedance, especially if you used shared gates.
