Eye gouging is only a 4 game ban in RL, that's the worst one.

No idea, however what Bailey did is nothing in context to attempted GBH as what Chase did

3 matches (oh and £300) is ludicrously lenient, IMO of course.

Young Johnnie in (say) Hemel is feeling attracted to playing RL. His parents think it's "a rough northern game" and would sooner he stuck to tennis. They get to hear of this incident and somehow see the video clip which appears to confirm their opinion, but Johnnie persuades them it's just a one-off occurrence and the offender will be punished.
