| Quote Wigg'n="Wigg'n"I didn't say it was the same. McGuire's and Fakir's challenges (high tackle and raised elbow) were all red card offences if you ask me. It's the inconsistency by the SAME REFEREES that is wrong.'"
So how is that inconsistency. Thats not inconsistency, its just referees thinking one offence is a red card, two different ones arent and you disagreeing.

It's not a matter of opinion. There is a rule book y'know.

| Methinks that might be the last we see of Ben Thaler in these playoffs. Leeds were the better side on the night though so deserved to progress.
The odds of us seeing another Leeds Saints GF grow shorter every week, how monotonous.

Clearly it is a matter of opinion or we wouldnt have referees but a computer up in the stands. The rules are there to be interpreted, you interpret them different from the referee in these two incidents.

And the Saints fans are a teeny weeny bit afraid of whomever gets to the final with Saints (if they get there).

Someone else should turn up to the party then. FWIW I think Wigan and Warrington will this year.

If McGuire and Fakir receive bans from the disciplinary panel, does that mean the officials on the field got it wrong?

| Quote SmokeyTA="SmokeyTA"Love how the Wigan fans are still insisting all contact with the head is the same. Mcguire was silly, but not in any way, shape or form similar or on a level with Mcilorum's. Fakir's aswell. Both were mistimed swings at falling players, Mcilorums was a late, high, swing at a static player, if you cant tell the difference between them then you are beyond help and we would be best to leave you festering in your bitterness.'"
If you consider the inconsistency around the issue it's understandable, in the same game that MM got sent off Perry got away with dropping on Lima with forearm but didn't "promote" the arm - yes, from standing up to dropping on someone's head without promoting the arm?? One punch for Wigan = sending off, but for others not so much.

Don't be silly. McG attempted a rather dirty attack and got hurt himself. To say that McG has a great record is a fallacy looking at his playing style, he gets away with a lot.

Not necessarily. If the referee was unsighted then on-report was the correct decision, thats what it is there for.
As it is I dont think either will be banned, both looked lazy rather than malicious.
If they do get banned however, ill just accept that as a difference of opinion between me and the disciplinary panel, rather than some crazy conspiracy where the RFL are trying to engineer a Leeds GF win by banning Mike bloody Mcilorum.
