Quote crusading leyther="crusading leyther"At least 2500 hardcore Crusaders fans - the most enthusiastic, loyal fans any team could wish for and on the back of a very poor season. Always sing and cheer the team to the end whatever the result or performance. The desire and passion for rugby league to be a success in these parts is fantastic to witness.
Next season, with new signings and hopefully a winning team, and the rapid development of the game at grass roots in South and North Wales, the potential for growth is enormous.
Proud to be a Crusaders supporter.'"
Whilst I don’t disagree with your sentiments, there is one huge flaw.
How on earth can any club in Super Dooper League club survive on such low crowds?
Surely, to break even, a club would have to pull in around 7K to balance the books each season.
Who pray tell is going to pick up the tab? The London project must have the most benevolent Sugar Daddy in the game, fair play to him, however, for all the undoubted passion of a couple of thousand ‘new’ fans, where will the Crusaders find the shortfall?
