| Let's have all the players wearing a belt with two strips of cloth velcroed on. People are moaning about these so called Aussie coaches bringing in new techniques but these techniques are the ones which win World Cup trophies. When we start playing the game in the same way and same intensity as the NRL we might start to succeed as a sport in the UK.
The only thing that needs addressing are the so called chicken wing, ninja tackles, 2 gilrs 1 cup or whatever everyone moans about. If techniques are adjusted and these wrestling moves come in then they should be dealt with by rule changes in the interest of player safety. Simply suggesting 3 men or more in a tackle should be outlawed is pathetic.

| i know you mean to outlaw the 3rd man coming in and injuring the ball carrier, but the key is to pinpoint (retrospectively if neccesary) and ban players who are sometimes overzealous or dangerous when coming in late.the difficulty is proving intent, as to a man the players say that no player would deliberately try to injure another, even though we all know it happens
virtually every team has a cheap shot merchant ,but very few fans will admit they have one and defend them to the hilt when they do something a bit naughty

| I am not sure that we have a problem but if the players & coaches think it is then what we should do is penalise the ofenders there is already rules about deliberatly trying to injure others. A one on one shoulder charge/ big hit has it place but done on a man who is held up & defenceless should be penalised harshly, The Union option of making all tacklers use thier arms would be an option. There again I have been involved with coaching youngsters of both codes & spend hours showing how to tackle from the front, side & back each involving getting the shoulder in place & wraping up the legs with a strong grip. none of which techniques you will see very often in the pro game.

| if there is a reason to outlaw the chicken wing(a tackle intended to injure a player)there is obviously a problem with players attempting to put opponents out of the game, whether it is coached or not.
the daft thing is if coaches do introduce wrestling techniques etc in the tackle that can injure a player, surely they must know that eventually other sides will follow suit and retaliate accordingly ,therefore endangering their own players
