| Tallis wasn't dirty, just hard. Watch his fight with Terry O'Connor, was an absolute cracker.

| With the videos around these days its impossible to build up a dirty play CV like the old timers had - anyone who tried would soon be out of the game. So in a blast from the past
Len Casey.
Specialised in cheap off the ball hits on the oppositions half backs because they were smaller. He filled his pants when he did it to Fred Ah Koui though and copped a hammering back.
Your other top thugs like Boyd, Mills, Reilly, David Watkinson, Eric Hughes, Mick George, etc took on anybody.
Casey was just a low piece of dirt.

| Paul Davidson.
Terry Newton.
Jamie Bloem.
And of the lot running round nowadays, I'd say Ben Westwood.

| Surprised no-one has mentioned Jason Hooper. An expert at shoulder charging kickers off the ball.
Quite ironic that he had to retire due to a shoulder injury.

| Whilst I love watching Kevin Brown, I can never forget the night I sat next to the Wigan bench, and until he was used as an interchange he spent the whole time 'gobbing' onto the ground. As he always looked so young I felt like clipping him round the ear, glad I didn't.

| Saints have always had more than their fair share...Nickle and Matautia are a couple that spring to mind.
Another was Chris Arkwright who seemed to have something against any Leeds half back and John Holmes in particular! Remember an "A" team final at Headingley in 1990/1991 ish where he managed to get a few Leeds players assisted from the field and then finally got sent off after a fair few late shots on Holmes!
Karl Fairbank and Chris Burton are another couple of forwards from the same time that deserve a mention!
