| In best Liberal Democrat tradition, I might just pledge £100k myself, just to keep the Bullies spirits up.....

| We learned the hard way that one day it's your turn.
No-one expects outsiders to support what we are trying to do, and therefore the support from those who DO offer support is more appreciated than maybe they realise.
As for those whose response to our current plight is instead derision and mockery, all I can say is that maybe, one day, it'll be your turn. Sometimes, again.

As I recall there were plenty of Bull's fans ready to make glib and insulting comments to those in trouble in the past and some of those still post on these forums.
Have they really learned the hard way?
Really?
I would strongly suggest you are no where near the level of desperation some fans were in for [itheir[/i club, but I suppose that might be yet to come.
I genuinely wish your true supporters good luck but I'd be lying if I didn't feel a sense of karma for those who have been pontificating gobes in the past; and I'd be willing to bet they will be at it again when the next club has problems.
It's a crappy feeling, a crappy position to be in but at least your pledge seems to be getting some support so maybe some good will come of it after all. It's been outstanding the way your past players have all rallied round.

| Was there really any need for some that? Given what I actually said? I can fully understand people having that attitude, as I thought my post indicted, and that is what makes the considerable support we have received all the more surprising and appreciated. But all I was asking for was for those who think its funny, and a good opportunity to put the mocking boot in while we are really down, to consider that one day they might find themselves in the same position.
My post was specifically in response to the likes of BillyRhino, whose own club were within an ace of going out of business in 1996 but who now thinks its clever to respond with derision and mockery. I offered no comment regarding, or excuses for, anything any Bulls fans may have said in the past.
The really pleasing thing is that, on these forums at least, his unpleasant attitude seems typical of the minority not the majority.

Not having a pop here, I assure you, but I would have thought your "normal matchday revenues " would be fairly low as your supporters have already paid for the season via the cheap ST.

Furthermore, what happens when the next 'specific bill' comes in, that isn't covered by your alleged break-even position from matchday revenues?
It looks like a very precarious way to do business.

We've already had our turn very few of the so called "rugby league family" give a flying one. This despite several years of cutting our cloth to suite. Maybe you can call it bitterness, but it's bitterness born out of a sense of injustice.

Clearly I was a fool to donate money to your "sponsor a player" cause at the time, or offer help to those setting up your supporters trust.

I'm not having a dig at you personally. It's the difference in the general attitude of the so called "rugby league family" to both situations that gets me!
