| Quote JEAN CAPDOUZE="JEAN CAPDOUZE"The whole Super League competition could look completely different by the end of the regular rounds. That is because three clubs -- Wigan, Hull FC and Catalans -- have been suffering terribly from injuries. If they can overcome the injury deficit in the remaining eight weeks then the competition table could start to look completely different. More important the Super 8 rounds could see a whole new realignment, with the added factor of Benjamin Barba boosting St Helens enormously.'"
Fed up with all the leeway that some clubs get in the press with their injuries.
I know it can be difficult when certain players are injured but, come on.
Most sides have numbers of players missing, Wakefield are up to 8 or 9 but, not a mention at all.
In fact, you could be excused for thinking that they aren't even in SL.
No press coverage, in fact todays game wasn't even previewed on BBC text and it was 2nd vs 4th in the league and what a cracker of a game.
Unless you are Wigan or Leeds, they (the press) dont give a damn.
You say there are 8 weeks of the comp left but, apart from Saint's and Huddersfield, who were excused a "second easter", there are only 6 more games before the split.

Arona, Miller, Johnstone, Kirmond, Tupou, Grix, Allgood, Walker plus, Hadley, who has gone back to Hull early due to his injury
Dont tell anyone though as we despise sympathy and we'd rather just get on with the job

That question sums it all up for me - to most RL fans if you don't wear a certain jumper nobody notices you - see the GB train on squad.
If hull had lost a player of Aronas ability and influence we'd never be hearing the end of it.
Not a dig at you by the way

Not really. I haven't memorised every SL squad nor do I take much notice of who is playing for the opposition unless they're playing my team. It was merely a question as I didn't know wakey had that many out.
Hull had missing last night:
fonua, ellis, taylor, watts, bowden, griffin, sneyd and, of course, hadly who your team broke. I'm sure one or two of those may just measure up to the quality of arona

If true that does highlight my point on another thread about Wigan having it so bad. Others are having bad patches with injuries but Wigan's are just never ending....and I'm a Leeds fan so I'm not exactly hell bent on defending them but they've had it on another level to everyone else I think and getting up for a WCC early days is extremely tough and needs to be added to the workload their squad has had.

If We were a Wigan our injuries would be seared into your mind - however the RL media barely mentions it.

Exactly this.
Big difference in having a couple of games with a lot of injuries or a few constant throughout the season but we've had 9+ players out every game. That's why the media goes on about it.

| Reading some of the posts on here I've come to a simple conclusion , it seems to me that virtually every team has had huge injury problems , except when they played Leigh

Or Wakefield - in 17 SL seas.on we've never won on merit i.e. the better team. We have certainly never beaten a top team who weren't either crippled with injury or most commonly playing the worst they have played all season. Basically they all beat themselves not beaten by us.
If you stop up get used to it, you'll never break into the click on here. Notice how the vast majority of posters on the VT are Leeds, Wigan, hull and saints fans.
