Whilst they’re “current” their songs really aren’t suited to a 70,000 stadium sports event in the slightest even if loads of the people going knew who they were, but take into account they won’t then they’ll probably get the least response a band has had at the Grand Final.

It was Feeder in 2016, Charles did a dj set also just like Spoony in 2015.

Charlatans were in 2015, James 2014 and Razorlight 2017.

To be fair they've been at it a few years now, about 2 years commercially, but I agree with you on the disappearing thing. They'll have probably sunk without trace by the start of the next decade.

After the massive PR from super league all over social media about the massive announcement, I was expecting some one like, 30 seconds to mars, arcade fire or Kanye West. Why big something up so utterly underwhelming. Never heard of them and I know my music so I had to google them and they are obviously just another 3 chord wonder band like all the other flavour of the month indie bands that will end up in obscurity

If you’re going to come up with alternative suggestions at least make them good ones.

I enjoyed James a few years ago, familiar songs that the whole crowd could join in with and build an atmosphere.

Feeder & James were good choices *to my tastes* , I am only surprised that the Really Feckless League haven't tried to get a reformed Hanson on the bill ...... Mmmm - Bop !
