Even so, they are THE most improved side in the comp.

Personally, I couldn't give a toss about who won MOS, Team of the Year, Coach of the Year, etc. The only 'awards' that count are the GF, the Cup and the LLS (in that order).
But being pedantic, on what basis are Hull THE most improved side in the comp? If you're using League position then Hull improved five places from 8th to 3rd, Wire also improved by five places from 6th to 1st.

Clean sweep for Hull; Club, Coach, MOS not bad for a club that just hung on to the CC, finished nowhere in the LLS and didn't make the Grand Final.
This confirms the mediocrity that SL now accepts as standard.'" I must admit I am surprised Rommell from the Saints forum hasn`t swept in, considering his total hatred of anything Hull F.C. Love the way Hull seem to ruffle some peoples feathers

But if you loose on Saturday you really haven't won much this year apart from a LLS

| Quote Fantastic Mr Cat="Fantastic Mr Cat"140 something available votes from the humberside region, only 3 votes for chris hill,'"
Houghton only got 10 from widnes and wigan so about the same from those 2 clubs on a pro rata basis against their total votes received (houghton 169, Hill 50) as hill's from Hull and hull kr. It seems odd that hill isn't thought of more highly by his peers but I guess those that play against him week in, week out maybe just expect him to do what he does. warrington players received 47 votes from Hull players so no tactical voting there if that's what you're implying but it seems they favour clarke and currie over hill.
As for hill v ellis, again there must be a reason more players voted for ellis. Maybe he hits like a train and they all remember it or maybe they see his leadership qualities when they're playing against him but ellis was quite a distant 3rd and not that far ahead of hill anyway
As for houghton, he's been excellent this year for one of the top sides so he was always in with a shout. i expect the other players appreciate how hard it is making 50 tackles every week and have recognised it with the vote. Well deserved IMO on a number of levels

Did you look at last seasons Super 8 table or are you just being bitter/pedantic for the hell of it.
Wire improved from 6th to first in the Super 8's (5 places) total points 43 (last season 30) an improvement of 5 places and 13 points.
Hull improved from 8th to 3rd on the Super 8's (5 places) total points 40 (last season 24) an improvement of 5 places and 16 points
Also factor in what a dire start they had to the season and they are the most improved team in the comp.
I know it's hard for some of you to take but, when you already have one of the most successful coaches in the SL era, can you not admire what Radford (a rookie coach) has achieved.
Take your blinkers off and take a balanced view of what has happened and unfortunately Radford got the prize and fully deserved it, no need for all the sour grapes and jealousy and if you are lucky, you may still have the last laugh, that is, if you get over the top of Wigan at the weekend.

| Quote Exiled down south="Exiled down south"Its within our British nature to be nice. You only have to look at the annual sports awards; Frank Bruno, Phil Taylor etc
These are just sympathy votes for a team that has improved because no one else has dominated. The Hull coach was minutes from the door after Widnes for underachievement with a team which has spent 'Big'. They won the CC, a cup that there relegated neighbours reached the final off some 12 months earlier. Since then they have reached there level which is not club of the year nor coach of the year standard. Player of the year I have no issues with.'"
Define spent BIG.
Hull FC have halved their academy set up.
They spend to the full cap I suspect much the same as many other clubs.
They SOLD two players reaping close to a quarter of a million pounds. Yet the club that handed that cash over is not considered big spenders.
They have backroom team that I'm lead to believe was one of the smallest in SL. I could be wrong on that, but knowing their set up I doubt I am.
So I am intrigued to know what spending BIG is.
Their level I would say is a top 4 team challenging on all fronts. Certainly the fan base warrants that. So I guess you are right that they have reached THEIR level. From THERE it's a push for glory (which they came up just short of) or back down to the level of our neighbours and the majority of the European rugby league teams

listening to adam pearson on local radio last night, the club dont want this season to be a one season wonder, he and the coaching staff will push on and with a couple more signings to come we will stronger for next season and more

Yes I was being pedantic over your use of the word THE in capital letters as if it is clear that Hull have been the most improved side in the competition. Maybe they have, but not to that extent.
Bitter, Sour Grapes, Jealousy? Yes, I've been feeling bitter and jealous all week!

| Watching the jittery coverage of the awards on Monday, I seem to recall that FC won club of the year on the basis of on field AND off field issues. So we can argue the toss for ever about whether they were most improved in 2016, but that was only one part of it. I would imagine the judges of that award looked at all SL clubs in the same way before making the decision too.
