Capacity is down to 9,000 as one of the stands is shut for building work. Both clubs have sold in the region of 3,000 each so when you factor in the RFL's sales etc and it won't be far off a sell out.

Close to a sell out crowd.
Good news for the amateur game.
I wonder if the game would attract so many if it was being held in Leeds or Hull though. How many people are just going for a weekend in Blackpool?

Probably a similar reason why the Challenge Cup final gets such a big crowd regardless of the finalists. |

90 percent of Leighs games in the last 10 years , 8 of the last 11NL,Championship GF s , plus a reasonable amount of amateur games , the odd occasional Championship match as a neutral
Even a few Internationals Challenge cup finals and the odd SL match , but no more unless it involves Championship clubs , I've even turned down free Challenge Cup and SL G F tickets recently , the RFL seem to want to split the game , they have succeeded as far as I am concerned |

Yes I do , spend far too much time on here , I really need to get the garage sorted and re build the ford pop I bought on FA cup final day 1996 from a Teddy boy on the Wirral
As for the RFL , well they are clueless as to what to do with the sport between SL and the amateurs , and that's the bit I'm interested in
