2+2 does seem to be adding up here though.

Despite the fact he spoke to Lewis twice in the past few days? Unheard of MP by the way? I wonder how many politicians you have heard of?

A now back bench former undersecretary of many positions is hardly the minister of sport. As for politions I've heard of lots thanks seeing as I watch this week question time and the daily politics religiously!

True, but he is part of the All Party Rugby League Group, and it would appear Richard Lewis had a meeting with this group.

Do you have a Phd in vagueness?

Quote: Johnoco "Can you be a bit more specific about the problems the 'Heartlanders' have caused Celtic?'"

It's only a difficult question if you don't know the answer.

So you are suggesting that people in Lancashire and Yorkshire have some form of ' mind control ' capabilities ?

Quote: Roy Haggerty "
The question as to what's gone wrong seems - as always - to be far more to do with the quality of adminstration at both club and RFL level, which has once again seen our sport attracts several thousand new fans in a new area (a la Gateshead), and then screw them over royally.'"

If it's all down to losing Samuels' cash a question must be asked:
With the fans in Bridgend, the academy side based in Bridgend, the national side based in Bridgend and the owners of the ground in Bridgend wanting matches to be played there - what is to stop Crusaders returning to Bridgend?
Sure, they may not be able to afford the Ozzie ringers, but those players havn't won them games so big wow.
play this year out, see what the deal is next year. The RFL could easily insist on the side re-locating to South Wales. You would expect the club to succeed based on the gates they get, Quins manage on less than that and they don't have a big budget to keep them afloat.

If you are going to pretend that the way the game has operated for so long is irrelevant then that's your outlook.

Although Mr Twigg didn't exactly say it, the way I interpreted the situation was that the RFL would support the Crusaders potential move to Wrexham - which is what has been made public anyway in this report: www.runcornandwidnesweeklynews.c ... -25251772/

I very much doubt that the RFL would actually prefer the Crusaders to move to Wrexham after all of the work that has been done in South Wales.

It's all down to the mind bullets being fired from Northern mining towns, obviously.

Otherwise the good citizens of Bridgend would have flocked (no pun intended) to watch them.

In this case, the blame is with the RFL who have clearly rushed it, not given them a couple more years to develop at a lower level, not made LS give some form of bond or commitment and allowed him to do a runner. (if indeed, that is what has happened). Then plonk them in Wrexham and hope for a miracle.

But it would be exactly the same reaction from some, no matter what the circumstances.

I have always felt that if they were going to expand the game that it should of been in areas like wrexham, growing the game in non rl areas that are around 40 mins or an hour away from strongholds would surely be more likely to succeed with greater away support from opposistion clubs along with greater ease for the fans to travel to away games its either this way for expansion or as said previously more time in the championships to establish themselves
