He isn't a marquee signing. Widdop and Austin are marquee players and remain so for 2021. Nothing to debate about it.

Just because they aren't using the marquee rule doesn't mean he isn't on marquee money.
However they have done it I think it's a fantastic signing and I really looking forward to seeing him play, very jealous, would have loved him at FB or stand off for Hull.
Wonder where he will play, seems a waste to have him at centre, but they are well stocked in the other pivot positions.

Aussies are suggesting he might bulk up and move into the 2nd row....not sure we'll do that...I think centre is most likely.

| I remember being delighted when Leigh signed Willie Tonga, due to injuries he played 9 games in 2 seasons.

| Desperate signing by a desperate club. Instead of wasting money on a washed-up already retired player, perhaps they'd be better off spending that money on their pretty much non-existent academy instead of lagging light years behind the likes of Wigan, Saints and Leeds were that's concerned.
No doubt those getting all giddy over this will be claiming 'didn't want him all along' when he flops, exactly like when they signed Burrell.

I can see why though, you know with one being an ex Rugby Union player who had never played a professional game of Rugby League in his life and one being one of the all time greats to play the game, third top try scorer in Australia's history and arguably the greatest centre to play the game.
The two are so comparable.

Hmmm'" He could not be paid that much here and Wire stay under the cap. Wire will stay under the cap, ergo, forget what the Aussie press is saying.

Hope you had a good supply of tissues ready when you typed that
Remind me which holds the record of points in the game with 491 tries to his name, he's close to Mal Maninga who I'd put before him as a great but even Keith Senior would give him a run for his money in tries
no don't get me wrong I'm pleased to see him come over when all this crap has subsided but don't expected to see the Inglis of old
As for comparing with Burrell it might be better comparing him with a squeaky wheel barrow

Think Inglis is comfortably the best centre in the modern era ie last 10/15 years. Even if he gets to 75/80% of what he was he’s still way above anything on show in super league in his position.

| Warrington are entitled to do whatever they think best gives them the chance to win trophies. I’m not sure signing a player who has been out of the game for two years (and has two chronic injuries) is the way forward for them, but they can go down that route if they want to.
It raises a wider question of how we are going to compete with the Southern Hemisphere (both in terms of the national competition and internationally) when our so-called top clubs are signing this kind of player.
How many clubs have home nation players in key positions? Not too many. Until clubs are prepared to give home-grown players the opportunity to play in pivotal positions, we’ll never catch up. How many clubs have a spine of players eligible for England? Barely any.
