Did I say that? So what your pointless point?

So what did you mean when you said that comments on a message board would fire up the team?
It’s difficult to read this statement in any other way.
Quote: Fishermanscap "Trinity just love comments like that, it's like adding rocket fuel to the team, we'll see. '"
Just seems a bit daft that’s all.

Well that’s that then, Jean Capdouze on RL Fans said he thinks Saints will beat Wakefield so the Wakefield players will be well up for it now and will probably win. Somehow I don’t think the Wakefield players look at this forum and I don’t think it would make a great difference if they did.

Let’s be honest someone tipping Saints to win comfortably is hardly a wild prediction. Might happen might not but it wouldn’t be a surprise in the slightest if it did.
They don’t like if you tip them to lose, they don’t like it if you tip them to win even when they think they can because they prefer the underdog tag. Only prediction you can make that they’d be happy about is if you tipped Wakey to be the better team but lose by 2 points thanks to a last minute try that was given by a dodgy incorrect ref cal.'"
I’d say this is a fair summary.

| If the Saints vs Wakefield game was at Belle Vue then I wouldn’t be overly confident as it’s always hard work there. However, at home I’d fancy us to win fairly comfortably. For Wakefield to win I think they need to play at their best and we’d have to have an off day and I fancy that the former is unlikely if they still have a few injuries. I was fairly pleased with the draw, it could have been much worse.

| In the last 7 meetings between the two 5 have been at Wakey and Saints have won 4 of them...two by decent margins...the last two times we’ve played at Saints we’ve won one by 4 points and lost one by 4 points...so that’s an indication we may have a better chance playing away with no pressure and not many people believing we will win...
If our forwards are healthy for that date and our pack can do what Catalans did in the cup last season we’ve a squeak in my opinion...

| The draw has thrown up some excellent fixtures and ensured that there will be a Championship club in the semi finals.
Saints will be strong favourites against Wakefield and Wire also favourites against KR but, the real intriguing fixture is FC v Catalan.
Hull should be favourites at home but, Catalan, on their day are a real force and could cause an upset.
Bradford and Fax will both fancy their chances of progression but, home advantage should see Bradford go through.
Trinity will need to have something close to their strongest pack and play to their full potential to get over the top of Saints but, they (Saints) made very hard work of beating an out of sorts Huddersfield side, which gives Trinity a little bit of hope, maybe.

As you say, it's all up for grabs. I am not sure a championship side in the Semi's is a positive, but they earned the right and the draw was kind. Am sure both Bradford and Halifax would have preferred a SL side.

With both sides having a genuine chance at making the cup semi and with the proximity of the 2 clubs, there will be probably be a better attendance than if they had played some of the other contenders.
Certainly a better draw than if they had played Catalan and assuming its going to be another double header for the semis, their big payday will come there (assuming they dont make the final).
I really hope that there is a plan for Catalan making the final again.
If they were to beat FC, which is entirely possible, they have a 50/50 chance of drawing Championship opposition in the semi and would then be very strong favourites to return to Wembley.
I hope they (the RFL) have got their thinking caps on so it's not a "surprise" if Catalan make the final.

See this is what makes me laugh. Wakefield fans always come up with statements like this whilst forgetting their last few games consist of
26-6 win vs a championship team at home and were second best for much of the game.
A one point win against an out of sorts huddersfield team (yet somehow when saints do it, it means we are there for the taking)
Trounced by hull, a team we put 60 past
A 2 point win against Leeds who just lost to Bradford
and a loss against another team we trounced, Cas
You should be concerned with your own form, not ours.
Easy win for us and a spot in the semi

Well, judging by that insightful back story it looks like a wasted trip over.
Things can change in the space of a couple of weeks, I'd wait until nearer the time to profess total annihilation.

If you had left it at that, it would have displayed your obsession and saved space and the time it took reading your ego trip.

A full strength Saints side squeeze past Huddersfield and a Trinity side with 9/10 players missing beat them by 1.
Remember, Saints beat Trinity earlier this season by a MASSIVE 6 points. Therefore, to suggest that something close to a full strength Trinity side, playing close to their best will definitely test Saints (or any other side in the comp), is not too difficult to imagine, even for myopic fans like you.
So what is your point big boy
