| Isn't this just a case of percentages, though?
If there are 7 Yorkshire teams in a 14-team league, then obviously there's more chance of more of them being in the top 8 then not due to (the top) 8 being bigger than (the bottom) 6.
It's like saying all the teams from Leeds are top of the SL, therefore we should have a SL full of Leeds-based teams.
The thread though is obviously intended for a wind-up (whether it was tongue in cheek I don't know, I've read some of Damo's previous topics after all!) so therefore doesn't really need logic for its intended purpose!

Leeds and Bradford are not premier quality stadiums by any stretch of the imagination. They both have one decent stand each (well, Bradford has two if you include the Coral Stand, which isn't really a stand it's more just a bunch of corporate boxes).

True. Both stadiums up to Super League standard.

Hadn't realised that Hunslet had got a franchise.

All the teams from Leeds that are currently in the SL are top of the league, is what I meant. Pretty sure you knew that's what I meant, but just in case.

No they didn't, Saints are Merseyside, says so on thier own website, Pies are Greater Manchester, they haven't been Lancashire since the mid 70's and Wire are Cheshire, Blackpool haven't won it for ever and so none of the last 22 Challenge Cup Winners have been from Lancashire. Sorry

In that case; parts of historic Yorkshire are now in Lancashire, Greater Manchester, Cumbria - the rest dissected into points of a disunified compass, which sort of es on the old treasured riding heritage. Still, anything for a giggle.

We currently have five Yorkshire sides in the top eight compared to two Lancastrian sides and one French side. At the bottom of the table we have only two Yorkshire sides compared to one welsh, one southern and two Lancastrian.
I feel that the rest of the counties in England and countries in Europe are letting this competition down. I think even Halifax this year would of took Catalan Dragons place in the table so far this season. Whilst super league is doing well in Yorkshire its not in other places so it time we we have an all Yorkshire top tier so we can get the standards back up again.
What you think?'"
You sound like you're on some big time drugs there!

Yes it has, we're a region now. Even higher up than a county.
Little old county Lancashire will never compete with the almighty region of Yorkshire!

Warrington is in Cheshire
Wigan is in Greater Manchester
and St Helens is in Merseyside

In 1995 yes, but unfortunately the RFL ensured that potential could never be realised (and their pet project is still failing ).

I am talking about the club as a whole, like crowds and stadia this also includes league position and trophies so I would put them in the top 5 IMO.
So hang on if teams from this side of the penines belong in the challenge cup and the yorkshire teams belong in the top tier why were two of the top 3 last year from this side?
You talk bull mate. We want the best clubs in the country in the top league. You tell me these teams from Yorkshire other than Fax that should be in the league and yet Widnes and Toulouse will be in before they are.
