I've always thought Clare's best position is FB. Whenever he played there for us, he was outstanding.

Don't agree. Trinity have proved you can be very competitive on a low budget - if Salford have some smart people in charge they will do OK, though this season will most likely be really tough.

Like another poster said huddersfield have hardly announced any Cameron Smith esq type signings, you'll be in the same boat when Davy goes, however Koukash is appointing a board of trustees, and I'll guarantee he'll still be pulling the strings.

Luckily for Salford I think Super League will expand to 14 teams in 2019, if not I can only see them in a battle with Hull Kr for the drop.

The likely acquisition of David Mead by Catalans is likely to change the club's prospects for 2018 significantly. All that is needed is to bolster the pack, and especially the hooking position.

huddersfield have had alot more than just competitive seasons... wasnt long ago we were a permanent top 4 team in super league, won the LLS, semi final play offs and two challenge cup finals (yep all lost but wakefield can only dream of that) .Dropped away past two years from this but slowly working our way back now after abit of a rebuilding phase and injury hit seasons icon_thumb.gif
