Quite understandable with a finish like that! Salford looked gone with 2 minutes left. If it was Hull KR finishing that way there would have been a stampede.
Just to add, don't know anything about the fighting had to switch off, obviously that is not good. But had my side won like that i would have been heading for the pitch.

Will the RFL over react to it and dock Salford 6 points next season for the crowd scuffle.

| Rovers only have themselves to blame, they really should not have lost, leading 18-10 with 2 minutes to go, tough to take for their fans, celebrating staying up prematurely 2 weeks running must be so cruel, but like i said as entertaining as it was Hull Kr and their whining players only have themselves to blame for people losing jobs etc.
But i am dreading next year as Koukash hints at yet another year of Salford taking the game by storm , pack it in Marwan you're not funny anymore

To be fair, I'd rather listen to Koukash talking up the game than Hudgell's annual rant about the Easter scheduling or how he's fed up of funding the club.

| Unbelievable finish to a game of RL and if anyone want's drama in sport, they have it right there.
How KR managed to blow that game is just crazy and it's going to take some getting over.
Although I'm no fan of the new structure, it's impossible to deny the drama of such a game.
The sheer guts displayed by all 34 players, many playing busted, was a credit to the game and all should be applauded for their efforts.
Really feel for the KR fans, to lose in such circumstances is utterly cruel.

| I'm made up Cockayne lost after his whinge. Most dramatic finish imagineable and just outstanding stuff.
I do feel for Hull KR fans, but that's sport.

| I like relegation.
Shame there isn't more of it.
Only the possibility of one team being relegated each season isn't enough.
At least a SL team was relegated this season.
That's a legitimate price paid for being sh!yte.

| what a game!
congrats salford, glad youre in sl next season and not kr.
as for the fighting, no surprise, sets of fans in one stand goading each other. kr fans did it last week to giants fans when they thought they had it won at the end running over sticking fingers up. we had the last laugh.
to mr peacock, was that drop goal over?

Well he should certainly know , he was perfectly placed stood motionless in front of O,Brien ( rather than charging forward putting him under pressure as a younger fitter player would have been doing )

| I wanted Salford to go down but after seeing the footage of those hull kr animals I'm glad they have gone down. Good riddance.

| Promotion and relegation is part and parcel of sport and Salford had every right to wildly celebrate avoiding it in the most dramatic fashion since Jimmy Glass scored for Carlisle in 1999 (look it up on YouTube kids!)
The whinge about players losing their jobs is a red herring. There are millions of jobs besides playing rugby. I'd love to be a professional sportsman but I'm not good enough at any sport to make a living from it so I have to do something else. If players are good enough to play in Super League then they will either be good enough to keep their team in it to begin with, or good enough to earn a move to another club. If they aren't good enough then they'll have to play part time at a lower level or no longer play the game at all, just like all the rest of us who aren't good enough.
I feel some sympathy with fans but highs and lows are a part of sport at every level. It might sound holier than thou when my team are in the Grand Final, but if Wires lose next week I will feel the way Rovers fans do now. The long term impact on the club won't be as damaging of course, but the pain on the night will be. Likewise if we win I will be happier than I ever have been watching the game, but Salford fans will be equally elated now. They aren't Super League Champions but they have achieved a goal in amazing fashion against massive odds. That is incredible no what the level of the success.
The genuine Hull KR fans will be back next season in the Championship, just like the fans of the clubs already there are, and good luck to them. The less committed who drift away, and some always do in these situations, because they aren't in SL and playing against Hull FC are free to do as they please, but tough.
People who don't like P&R say it shouldn't be compared to football because RL players aren't millionaires. Neither are footballers further down the pyramid but they still have P&R because that's sport. The impact of dropping out of the Football League is probably the same as dropping out of Super League but it still happens every year and in a few non league levels further down than that too.
I sympathise genuinely with people who have normal day jobs at a club who may now be under threat due to cost cutting. That is unfortunate, but you know the risks and as I say, it's by no means exclusive to Rugby League.
Anyway sorry for rambling. Tough s*** Ben Cockayne. Well done Gaz O'Brien. Brilliant match.

| Will clubs now learn that appointing former players to off-field roles based solely on their reputation as a player is a recipe for disaster? Peacock signed a bunch of substandard players, a substandard coach, suspended Hull KR's best player at the most important part of the season, reinstated himself as a player and ended up standing around watching as Salford scored the winning drop goal because he wasn't fit enough to put pressure on the kicker.
