| Quote: gutterfax "1,280 this year is the average.......I say we will be in 3 digit territory next year.......a fair chunk of our average this year is expat Wigan/Leeds fans who hop on the tube to watch their team once a year. Not sure if you recall the hoardes that fax and Leigh brought to griffin park when we were in the same division but Leeds and wiganesque they were not.
700 average at best and a top 4 finish a strong possibility but no chance of going up. Half the cap allowance in a turn over that will be a quarter of that of a bottom SL club......it's fiscally impossible'"
I disagree with this, and I think a winning team will keep you above 1000 easily. If anything, it might generate more home fans.
I think you may be underestimating the amount of travelling fans the likes of Leigh, Fev and Halifax send, never mind Bradford.
It a new venture, and I think you may be surprised.
Looking forward to it already.

Lovegrove has struggled to get a game this year in a team that didn't make the top 8.
Wes Naiqama didn't get a top tier place in 2014 and is 32 years old
William Barthau has been a fringe player at the Dragons for 4 seasons and was part of an embarrassing french team at the RLWC.
Mathers is over 31yrs of age, has had more clubs than you can shake a stick at and was unwanted at another lower tier SL outfit.
London Broncos squad doesn't feature 1 player that any of the 28 professional top tier RL clubs around the world deem worthy of a place and Players that the top 12 teams in Europe had no interest in are not going to win promotion to SL, either through the Million Pound game nor by finishing in the top 3 of the middle 8 set up.....they could win all 22 Championship games, then defeat their other championship clubs in the middle 8....the SL team they face in the Million Pound game will have 4 times the turn over and twice the cap available to them, as well as being battle hardened from visits to the top tier clubs.

Nobody knew we existed in SL.......even fewer will know now we've dropped down.
Quote: Snowy "I think you may be underestimating the amount of travelling fans the likes of Leigh, Fev and Halifax send, never mind Bradford.'"
I've heard tales of the massed hordes of HKR travelling fans......alas, they are the 12th biggest draw in London from the 21 teams who have visited.. Leigh's one visit south in 2005 drew 400 less than that seasons average and fax over 9 SL visits sit 15th of 21 clubs who have played us in the capital.
Attendances (and their direct correlation to income and survival) at London's SL club are my chosen mastermind topic. That said, even I was shocked at how many fans just didn't bother with the Hive this year. More people paid to watch us play Wigan, Saints and Leeds at the Stoop in 2008 than will have bothered ALL YEAR THIS YEAR......
Quote: Snowy "It a new venture, and I think you may be surprised.'"
It is not a new venture......it is another form of franchising with 2 less teams. London are still owned by the cluless oil broker and until that changes, the clubs losing culture will remain.
Quote: Snowy "Looking forward to it already.'" as am I. It's just that less and less other london fans seem bothered each year....

Did you get rid of all the voices in your head? Do you now miss them and the things that they said?: |

Lovegrove didn't 'struggle to get a game' at all. For some inexplicable reason, he appears to have been given the cold shoulder. He would be first on my teamsheet every week and I wish he was staying at HKR.

A few players who could get in a mid table SL squad and a load of Champs quality players doesn't make a team that will beat a SL squad. Get a grip. And Mathers isn't even fit for SL imo.

Quote: gutterfax "YES I agree with you. I think it stems from the Sandy times. He for some reason did not like him. Me I think he was good to still be playing for us'"
So the Hull KR fans show gutterfax to be totally misinformed about the quality of Rhys Lovegrove.
Lovegrove was definitely of Super League standard. He wanted to leave Hull KR because his wife's family lives in or near London.
Quote: gutterfax "Wes Naiqama didn't get a top tier place in 2014 and is 32 years old'"
Naiqama didn't get a top tier place at 4th placed NRL club Penrith because he had Kiwi star Dean Whare and State of Origin colossus Jamal Idris in front of him. Otherwise he would have been playing. He is a Super League quality centre and extremely good value for the Championship.
Quote: gutterfax "William Barthau has been a fringe player at the Dragons for 4 seasons and was part of an embarrassing french team at the RLWC.'"
The French team was embarrassing but that doesn't make Barthau embarrassing. For years he has had very good halves Dureau and Bosc in front of him at Catalans, as well as this year former Canberra half Sam Williams. He is not top class like the diminutive Theo Fages but he is definitely good enough for the Championship top 4.
Quote: gutterfax "Mathers is over 31yrs of age, has had more clubs than you can shake a stick at and was unwanted at another lower tier SL outfit.'"
This is a man who has played for Gold Coast Titans.
Quote: gutterfax "London Broncos squad doesn't feature 1 player that any of the 28 professional top tier RL clubs around the world deem worthy of a place and Players that the top 12 teams in Europe had no interest in are not going to win promotion to SL, either through the Million Pound game nor by finishing in the top 3 of the middle 8 set up.....they could win all 22 Championship games, then defeat their other championship clubs in the middle 8....the SL team they face in the Million Pound game will have 4 times the turn over and twice the cap available to them, as well as being battle hardened from visits to the top tier clubs.'"
Despite your false claims about the poor quality of the new recruits, it will be largely up to the pack --- Lovegrove, Slyney, Cordoba and others ---to determine whether the backs get a chance to show their undoubted attacking skills. Defeating the likes of Wakefield is definitely on the cards, even though Wakefield will be greatly strengthened by the likes of props Lopini Paea and Mickael Simon, whom they have stolen from the Catalans (who need their salary cap restricted funds to try to lure Todd Carney there for next year).

Actually, I said he struggled to get a game and I was right.
Quote: JEAN CAPDOUZE "Naiqama didn't get a top tier place at 4th placed NRL club Penrith because he had Kiwi star Dean Whare and State of Origin colossus Jamal Idris in front of him. '"
Glad you agree with me that he didn't get a top tier game in 2014.....anywhere....in any of the 30 Professional top tier teams...even with the mountain men's injuries all season....and Idris and Whare are not the reason the Panthers finished 4th BTW.
Quote: JEAN CAPDOUZE "The French team was embarrassing but that doesn't make Barthau embarrassing.'"
He was embarrassing and he's struggled to get into an average Catalans side.
Quote: JEAN CAPDOUZE "This is a man who has played for Gold Coast Titans.'" As I said, more clubs than you have had hot dinners and unwanted at Gold Coast as he's unwanted at Wakefield....
Quote: JEAN CAPDOUZE "Despite your false claims <snip> .'"
So basically, my claim that the Broncos quartet that you hailed as the mutts nuts are actually players that weren't wanted elsewhere has been backed up by your pointless follow up post? No matter who you pretend to be and what nationality you are, your particular brand of bollox crosses all boundaries.....well done you

| If we're honest next season can only be better than this season for the Broncos and their players and fans.
This season they are up there with Workington as one of the worst teams Super League has ever seen
This poster will now grab his coat on the way out and put on his tin helmet as he leaves the building

Why the need for a tin helmet? You're not wrong! I don't know how competitive Broncos will be next season as I don't honestly have much recent experience of watching Championship RL ( I'm hoping for the best with the squad that Joey G is building) but surely to God we've got to be better than this season.

Black Backgrounds/Zoot.gif Freedom for supporters of the government, only for members of one party - however numerous they may be - is no freedom at all. freedom is always and exclusively for one who thinks differently.

| Squad looks OK for a top four finish but, of course, that's only the easy bit next year. You could all be pleasantly surprised as to how nice life is in the lower reaches - I enjoy my rugby at the Crusaders, who haven't exactly been the best team in the league.
