Even Manchester United change to white or black shorts or socks, if there's a colour clash in the lower half of the kit. Maybe I'm extraordinary sensitive to colour, and believe the RFL could be more versatile with how things are presented.

But there was a precedence. The RFL made Bradford design an entire new kit - when both their home & away kits clashed with our garbage "spiderman" kit of 1997.

Arguably Leeds' 'clashing kit' in the 2010 final cost them in the game. Ryan Atkins scored from a Chris Riley pass after a Leeds bomb that probably bounced forward off Mathers, neither ref nor crowd could tell as all the players in the melee to catch the ball were in yellow and blue.

I also heard that Wire offered to play in their away kit but the RFL would not allow it as 'rules is rules' an dWire came out of the draw first as the 'home side'.

Langtree is a good call... I agree... would be better than Leigh.

DW however would be classed as a football ground.

I'd use LSV (Wire & Leeds) & HJ (Widnes & Cas). Modern stadia and not too big which would have the opportunity to sell out.

I'll expect us to have to travel to Odsal though, & Cas to Leigh.

Details to be confirmed. If as rumoured it's Cas-Widnes at Leigh on the Sunday then it clashes with our home game against Featherstone. Genius.

Wouldn't be too pleased with it myself either. Play the game at Leigh on the Saturday and the other one at the Sunday and then no fixtures are affected. Not exactly rocket science.

Wire v Leeds is the Saturday game at Langtree Park. The logical choice.

Good tie for Wire that, they have a decent record at Langtree, were as it's not been the best hunting ground for Leeds.
