All I will say is I've seen some criticism levelled at Salford over the years.

Absolutely. Very positive day for the game. The crowd was heated, the crowd must have gone away entertained, and now they're riding high. Coach has done a terrific job in recent months.

The same Salford who were given a chanted send off the year they were relegated at the halton stadium? I don't think any criticism levelled at them is worth mentioning any more than the bickering you level at wakefield, or Saints level at Wigan, or Leigh level at us. What do you want? A medal?

I still don't understand how you can call them an expansion club,they're in the heartland of french rl and they play in a european league.
As you say though a great crowd with limited away support,lets hope the rest of french rl can grow on the back of them.

Well they are and they aren't. They are because we've never had a SL club in the south of france before, and because their presence is an attempt to spread the game. But we weren't taking a punt on them. Part of their success, well, most of it, is because rugby league is down there already. We were taking advantage of what was already there. The risk wasn't there, and I fail to see why anyone would begrudge their continued success.

I'm sorry Chris, I know you and your brother have always supported the Dragons but the majority of Widnes fans that I've met and come across have always had a massive chip on their shoulder about them, more so than any other club.

You really are a sanctimonious prick. Have you ever seen that scene from Airplane when the people on the flight queue up to slap that annoying woman? Unashamed, I could happily beat you about the face all day long. Non-stop. I really couldn't see myself ever getting bored of that activity. I know it's not clever; it doesn't add to the debate (just like 99% of your mind-numbingly uninformative posts) but I felt the need to say it anyway.
