No. The Saints element of the touring party is obviously top dog this year now those pesky Rhinos are in limited numbers.

Jammer is apparently charging them all to eat in the canteen, taking half of their touring expenses at training and charging the rest of the team a protection fee to keep them safe.

Obviously Roby and Shenton are benefitting by being his assistants.

One wonders if the Wigan players will act in a similarly childish manner?

Graham could turn out to be a really decent Captain. he might be lots of things to lots of people but he's definately a leader.

I'd of thought Ellis and/or O'Loughlin were going to be ahead of JG for the captaincy. Still see how he fares.

Ellis and O'L are probably considered to be more senior but neither of them are what you would call inspirational. Graham will do OK and whether we win or lose he'll lead from the front and gibve a few a kick up the arris.

Graham seems to be a little petulant and shouty with referees (even if the mistakes are obvious, they won't reverse decisions).

I would have gone for O'Loughlin, but perhaps McNamara was looking for someone who was a guaranteed starter, not saying the GF winning skipper isn't gonna play, just that Graham definitely will.

O'Loughlin isnt the Wigan skipper, he is part of the 'leadership team' at Wigan - but the first thing that Macguire did was take the captaincy off him.

Ellis to me seems to be a quiet achiever, rather than an inspirational figurehead and leader.

Some people are captaincy material and some are not - its not a personal criticism of those who are not to say so.

I must admit this has caught me by surprise as I thought Ellis or O'Loughlin would of been Captain.
One thing you can say about Jammer though he will lead by example and hopefully it will inspire his team mates.

I have no issue with who the captain happens to be.

Whoever was assigned the job, it won't make a smidgen of difference to the results.
