All of these things will make him a cultural icon when his visa runs out and he is sent the way of his great grandparents....alas, not in chains this time.[/quote:2v2cei1t]

| New revised team.
Shaun Briscoe (Paul Sykes is gash)
Tom Briscoe (Peter Fox is gash)
Gareth Ellis (need a strike weapon outside)
Michael Shenton
Ryan Hall
Danny McGuire
Sam Tomkins
Adrian Morley
James Roby
James Graham
Jamie Peacock
Sean O'loughlin
Sam Burgess
-----------------------------------------------------
Louie McCarthy Scarsbrook
Gareth Carvell
Scott Moore
Eorl Crabtree (to be used in the second row)
I would accept that our backs are gash in comparison to the Aussies and the kiwis and our sole focus should be on our forwards to lead the way. The Les Catalans of the International scene if you like.
|
|
|
| Uh, how does that work?
You grind your forwards into the dirt against opposition that has consistantly beaten them over 40 years straight?
Good idea.

The best part is, Lamb played around 350 first grade games, unbelieveable, his try scoring record was amazing, he was the key player in a number of Premiership winning teams, he played Origin and Test football even in an era of the likes of Fittler, Daley, Kenny, Lyons and the like.....
And these stupid pommy idiots have no idea how good he was. They are probably looking him up on Wikipedia, the bloody stupid idiots!

Its time for a change! We need to get rid of the idiots running the RLIF before they damage the sport beyond repair!
Go the Tigers, Blues and Roos!: |
|
| Quote: The Glorious League Freak "Terry Lamb, produced brilliant results over an amazing career against the worlds best.
As opposed to Hanley who messed around in a pub comp in England and never managed to beat the worlds best players when he played against them.
Terry Lamb hardly played any Test football, but I bet he won more Ashes games then Hanley ever did!
lamb was a great little player, even though i hated the pr*ck. however, hanley was a once in a generation type player,he moved better than most players ive ever seen. i dont expect you to understand, as you hate all things english, but hanley was twice the player lamb ever was.

Just like lickle Shaun did to big, bad Bradley Clyde. Is Brad still crying about it? He was spewing years later, pathetic wimp.
A few years ago I was talking to an Aussie friend, who was a fair bit older than me, and his knowledge of RL was far head of someone like you. He liked his banter and would have a dig about us not being good at RL. He said that the two toughest players to have played the game in Australia were all British - Mal Reilly and Cliff Watson.
Funnily enough, I was at some 'do' after a Sharks game at Toyota Park and they had some awards 'do' (may have been something like a Sharks hall of fame, I can't quite remember), and someone got up to talk about Cliff Watson, and that person said he was the toughest player to have played in Australia. It was met with approval by older members of the audience, including Chris Anderson and Andrew Ettingshausen.

39110_1363272058.jpg Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot
Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good
-
sally cinnamon..Why not discuss Wigan? It's a rugby league message board. Wigan are the most famous brand in rugby league
-
Tre Cool..Saints fans are hopeless unless it's a cup final or grand final. Wigan fans are so much more loyal and passionate
-
the flying biscuit..Wires havent been massively succesful over the years, but I've spoke to Brian Bevan And he spoke to me and i wouldnt swap that for Wigans History, ever
-
Ande..on the TV i could only hear the Wigan fans with about 10 to go
-
Saint94..Every team is in your feckin shadow, we all know
