| Does all seem very weird, surely Bulls could have got an agreement of a 100 year lease of the ground or something from the council, that would have safeguarded the future of their tenancy and prevented redevelopment. Wish the RFL had been as generous when Rovers were going into admin and the vulture Lloyd tried to buy the ground and us and close us down! Apart from conflict of interest you also have to question if the rent charged for usage is covering the upkeep of a ground like Odsal, if not then I would imagine not many clubs will be happy that RFL money is paying to upkeep one clubs ground.

| The best analogy I can think of for the predatory threat the Bulls were under would be something like Manchester Utd being bought by the Glazers. To buy the club they took huge loans out which were secured against the club's assets which means that Man Utd now have huge debits because of this.
The main gist about the people trying to buy the Bulls is that they had no real interest in the club but wanted to move the Bulls out and down to VP so that they could get their hands on the land Odsal is built on to use for redevelopment to make a profit to be used to buy Bradford City.
Now, as the Bulls sold the lease hold to the RFL, that plan can no longer happen.

Maybe the board felt larger shareholders may not be so strong.

No idea, thats why I asked, if that is the case, then it is more understandable why they would take this action, maybe if that had been made clearer from the start, fewer people would have questioned it

Yes he is. And I think you've hit the nail on the head there.

| He is the largest at 26%. Not the majority.
The board collectively hold about 7%.

No control at all. Control as in who can appoint the board is in the hands of directors who retired last year and the Club President. They seem content to back Hood over Caisley.
Do you understand how companies work? Surely with your background you must? Neither got "the cash". The company was the party to the lease with the council, and the company will have received the consideration paid by the RFL. Assuming it has actually been paid and is not a loan from the Bulls to the RFL.
The board control the company. The shareholders decide on the board. But you know all that?
