I was at that game, but don't remember any fighting (though I do remember the relentless taunting by your fans to us dejected Rovers fans as we sat on coaches). In any case how are fighting and arrogance linked?
In 06 I remember Widnes fans being fantastic (e.g. shaking hands with us after we beat them in the play-off semi-final), whereas I recall Leigh fans generally being very arrogant, another example was taunting and mocking after beating essentially our academy at your place.
It wasn't aimed as an unfounded dig, it was based on my experiences of NL1 clubs that year, a season where I only missed one game home or away in all comps, (and the away game I missed at 'Haven I'd been the previous year), it's just the way I saw it.

| I remember KR fans covering themselves in not a lot of glory in 2002 ,throwing beer at Stanley gene and invading the pitch to invite the fartown fans for a "dance", I presume that's what they were inviting us for

I remember the taunting of your fans after your win at NCP, is it only yours that are allowed to celebrate a win? As for our win at Hilton Park, you can only beat what is in front of you
Why we are having this discussion I have no idea

| Re the NCP game I can assure you I wasn't one of them - I stand on about the halfway line and don't go anywhere near the South Stand, so even if I had been taunting (which I wasn't) you would have had to have had some bloody good sight to spot it.
Anyway congrats on the win.

Did you see Salford 60 Doncaster 0 in 2008 or Widnes 54 Whitehaven 6 the previous year ?
This year's was the best since 2005 (Cas-HKR) for me and Batley's 2010 win over Widnes was great too.

Maybe you can look at specific team performances and realise how they performed on the day.
I have seen many high scoring games, where I have been in admiration of how a team plays.
I remember Leigh beating Featherstone 75 - 20 at POR in 2004? They were 47 - 0 up and I enjoyed every minute of the way they played that day.
Sorry Giant Daz, I apologise for the outburst

| Quote: General Zod. "I think the Leigh fans need to remember how they were brought down a peg or two by Hull KR in our promotion season back in 2006.
I tried telling them pre-season they didn't have the squad to compete with us but they wouldn't be told. Players in that squad included Cockayne, Steel, Murrell, Webster, Fisher, Aizue, Netherton, Joseph - all of whom had Super League careers beyond the 2007 survival season so it's quite obvious they were never going to be challengers come the business end.!'"
I must have missed Grix, Hill, Bibey, Heremaia and Moore all having Super League careers after that year...

Leigh-Hull KR in 2006 and Leigh-Halifax in 2011 were both absolute belters, and I'm not even saying that with any bias!

The RFL really need to clarify whether it counts as a try when brushing the head of a worm

I had the half time scoreboard at that game as my screen saver for few years
Govin ripped Fev apart and Tommy Martyn took the urine with a drop goal to make it 47-0 at half time

| A Wakefield Trinity fan stole my Halifax scarf as I ran onto the pitch at the end of the match to collect Malcolm Agar's tie ups. 1984.
Scumbag. Scarred me for life. Scarfed me for life in fact.
