The sad thing is, That Leeds side would beat most SL sides. And most of the top sides, Wigan, Saints, Hudds, Wire, could put out a similar squad.

It is interesting when threads like this come about how many fans can name a decent squad of only GB players and how many of the overseas players in this league arent really needed.

We've already put a team out this season where 1-8 were all British. This weekend we'll have a team that 10-13 are all British too.

We're not far away from doing it at all.

If everyone was fit Hull could put out.

The first 13 is pretty strong, all of them with plenty of Superleague experience and the only change between that and the side that faced Quins is Washbrook in for Fitzgibbon. On the bench we have to rely on kids and we lack the power of Moa, Manu and Lauaki coming on, but that side would be reasonably competetive (although you could argue that Hull aren't competative even with the imports).

If you lot don't want them I'm sure we'll find a way of having them all

Edited for accuracy as Luke Ambler (Salford), Jay Pitts (Wakefield), Kyle Amor (Whitehaven) and Zak Hardaker (Featherstone) are not homegrown. Also, why no Brad Singleton and Jared Stewart in either squad? I have included Aston Wilson in the homegrown squad as I think he will be a talent, aswell as Liam Hood over Stevie Ward imo.

Fair enough re Clarkson I'd forgotten about him!

As for Ambler, Pitts, Amor & Hardaker I thought the rule was that they actually are classed as homegrown if they complete 3 years at the club prior to being 21 and during those 3 years are also classed as homegrown.

If that is the case, then you have a case for that, but -

1. Hardaker (October 2010), Amor, Pitts (July 2009) and Ambler (December 200icon_cool.gif havent been at the club for 3 years. (Yeah i can understand that they have been included because they will most likely be for 3 years )
2. I thought it was if they havent played SL in the past for former clubs? meaning Luke Ambler and Jay Pitts would not be included
