Not scragged him but YES should have got him off to the sidelines a lot sooner. It was a straight concussion no spinal injuries danger.

| Not all bad. On the way out of the East Stand I saw Arthur Beetson on the concourse and shook his hand. One of the best ball handling forwards you could ever see, and a personal favourite.

| I thought they did everything right with the Shenton injury. It wasn't obviously not a spinal injury, those at the scene didn't have the benefit of a slow motion video replay to tell them that. They took into account every possibility to ensure the long term safety of a player. Well done.
I also thought that the referee "Don't move him!" and the players were spot on with how they dwelt with it.
As a rugby fan (and a cas fan to be fair) i'm pleased to see he's ok.

| How can we possibly debate the handling of Shenton's injury? Have I missed something?

Jesus "International Loose Forward of The Year" what joke, dont you mean the "throw super league a bone to keep em happy" award
he amount of times during a game that he stops the teams momentum through his inability to pass a ball correctly is unreal
still he won an award ..........

| The are a number of things we can blame on the convicts being miles ahead of us like to many overseas, rugby league ain't our national sport, poor grassroots coaching and a number of other things.
At the end of the day we just can't produce the same level of players the convicts do and we never will.
Is it genetics?
All I know is the convicts had players sat in the stands and sat at home that would still be better than anything we have.
All this rubbish that rugby league is behind football and other sports has nothing to do with it.

| the aussies are miles ahead of us in terms of skill in the backs, yes our forwards can match theirs but we are never going to match their ball handling skill while we carry on what we are doing.
a main reason for the lack of skill is at grassroots junior rugby, while our kids train twice a week under floodlights in pooring rain and freezing cold conditions over the boot tops in mud playing with a wet ball, compared to aussies kids who have dry circuits in sunshine and all the time in the world to stand and learn the finer art of the game and its skills.until the big-wigs at red hall and barla get their house in order and allow kids at junior level to play in the summer instead of the winter months the skills will always lag behind.

You might have missed that people who regularly post on internet forums think that they know everything about everything. Even when that includes treating medical emergencies.
LOL at the idea that numpties on the internet are in any way qualified to criticise an A&E consultant's handling of a unconscious player.

| Our kicking game has been brought up by numerous people and i couldnt help thinking that Danny Brough would have been a good option for England. He is probably the best kicker of a ball we have in super league and he is also creative with ball in hand.
Not everyones cup of tea but he would be in my team.

I don't think that has anything at all to do with it.
The convicts best us tonight with a wet ball on wet pitch. Shouldn't we be better in these conditions?
We could talk all year about why the convicts are better than us and we will never find the answer.
They are just better players.
