I am sorry, but 20k to charity makes it all right? FFS, that team were assembled on a lie, trained on a lie and built a club record on a lie.....anything they do, until they are disbanded means nothing. I don't give a f()ck about the AFL or ARU nicking players.....but until they are UNDER THE CAP properly, they are just cheats.
For the record, XIII heroes (1 guy) raised more than 20k crimdollar on his own for charity........and murdoch wasn't bankolling him)....that's an effort, not turning up to play what you got OVERPAID for  |

Why should the players get shafted for,it's the big boys that put them in this mess in the first place.
And as for charity, 20k is 20k I'd rather see it going to charity then going in there pockets lol.

Great crowd and I suspected (see other thread) that the warriors would get a severe hammering....but if they appeal, I hope the NRL double the fine and award them no points for 2011 as well. On what grounds could they appeal? They broke the rules, set out to break the rules and managed to con everyone for a few years......there is no excuse. They have cheated, got caught and been punished. They should just get on with it.

Agree that the storm are a good club in the fact that they have a loyal supporter base and give the NRL a foothold in enemy territory, but slater is one of those players who (in my opinion) knew that something was up.........so let's see how "loyal" he is in the next 10 days. Not knocking him if he goes (and I think he would make a great 10 or 12 in Union), but let's see how many of their overpaid stars hang around when offered buckets of cash. The AFL were talking about him in glowing terms..........funny how Union and AFL dismiss league then go after league stars......

Great show of support last night.
Certainly the biggest talking point of the week in Melbourne despite the fact it was the AFL's 2nd biggest day of the year yesterday.
