23997_1287161421.jpg
Great game of rugby league. Fantastic atmosphere, Wigan were breathtaking and dominant in all areas for the first 25 minutes, coupled with us making alot of dumb mistakes, then fortunately they brought McIlorum on which helped us back into the game. I thought some of the tries we scored to get us within two we're out of this world stuff. Towards the end we had to force it a little and we had a few things go wrong, i.e Monas kick on the first for King and Solomona going off who was causing havoc. Wigan were clinical in their eventual execution of us. Proud of Wire today and gave us a little glimpse to the future. Silverwood was awful as per, but I expect no less. Tomkins is a world class player and by far the best english player in SL. Wigan are a champion side and would be a worthy winner of taking our title as challenge cup. Good luck over the next month and a bit.
:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_23997.jpg |

From the boy who thinks Wigan have the best pack in SL. It is now clear you are totally clueless about the game on a number of levels.

I missed the first 15 mins where he apparently made a couple of mistakes, but from what I saw he was pretty flawless. Took his try very well & nearly had another. He took a number of high balls effortlessly. I'm afraid your petty jealousy is making you look daft.

| What people have failed to note is that Kevin Penny was very well covered by his opposing winger, Younes Khattabi. The only time Kevin looked like scoring was when he did score .... as a result of a brilliantly executed Lee Briers kick from the scrum base when the Les Catalans back three defenders were up in the first defensive line. I agree with Bald Eagle Stevo that it was superb classical rugby league by Lee Briers. But almost any alert attacking winger would have scored off such a kick. It was served up on a plate to Kevin Penny by Lee Briers.
Look at the rest of the match. Penny did well taking the high kicks when standing deep. But when Warrington was in its attacking formation Khattabi was up in Penny's face. That is why an intimidated Kevin Penny dropped the ball from passes on other occasions.

No sh !t Sherlock.
He is too light at this stage & does seem to get 'hurt' a lot, as Cullen has acknowledged. I could suggest you have a similar spineless winger at Wigan who was in the same mould, a long time after just 10 games. But that would be churlish.

| I don't actually think Penny is as quick as some think. The main thing about him is that he's very confident in his own ability and he's prepared to back his pace. I think alot of Wingers would be able to take people on and score tries like he does, but they almost always play it safe and come back inside. In fact, after watching Penny taking that cross field kick and getting reeled in when it looked like he was in, and then watching Riley chasing down a kick that ended up a drop out, I though Riley actually looked margainly quicker than Penny. Penny is quick, but by no means the next Martin Offiah.
I've been something of a critic of Penny, but after watching him bomb them chances in the the first half I was impressed in the way he kept his head up, scored a decent try, and then he looked great under the high ball in the second half.
