All half backs peak at 22/23.
I honestly don't know why you bother watching the NRL.'"
Where did I say all half back reach their peak at 22/23? What I said was Pearce hasn't improved in the last two years - are you saying he has?
How/why is suddenly going to develop into a better player?
Suggest you read the post from LS14 regarding him
A host of players look fantastic when they are young yet fail to develop further - Tim Smith is a half back that hit his peak at 22/23 - Pearce is another
I dispare when I read the stuff you Aussies post - do you actually what games?

| Quote: Fax Missionary "Are you for real ?
In over 30 years of watching the game the first half hour from Qld was the most intense and skilful period of rugby league I have ever seen. Their kicking was outstanding, the intensity of their tackling was frightening, the ball movement was superb. The fact that NSW kept it to 24 points was credit to their organisation and defence. Tell you what if GB or any SL team had been under that sort of pressure they would have gone into half time 60 points behind. Only the Smith try for me was soft. The others were from skill and yes even Inglis's try. Pure brute strength and skill, the man is an animal and many forget just how good he is because of an average time since he went to Souths. As for the rest of the game, sure there were too many errors from NSW, but that first 30 was always going to tell on them.
The Origin series this year has been the best in my 6 years in Aus and tickets for next year will be like rocking horse poop...you just wont be able to get them. Roll on Origin 2012'"
Are you serious - you didn't think the Yoh Yeh was a soft try? Queensland were really good for 30 minutes because that is all that was required to win the game - NSW were clueless ball in hand, their first try was a comedy of errors, the second was a walk in when the Qld defence went walk about. At any level of the game conceeding 24 points in half is very poor - never mind for these "Super humans"
I enjoyed the game but only the miopic could say it was high quality.

| Halfs backs always look better in good sides, hes in a terrible one now,I aren't saying he'll defianatley become one of the greats but he has years of devolpment in him.
He's more advanced now than some of the current greats were at his age.
And I do go to games, but I'm not a Aussie.

It could be argued that top half backs turn average sides into good ones?
The point I have raised twice and still you haven't answered - if his development has ceased, how is it going to suddenly kick start again?
He is being coached by one of the best technical coaches in the NRL so I am not sure that is an issue?
Some players never fulfil their early promise - maybe Pearce is one such player, maybe he is another Peter Wallace?

I thought they used to do a game in each state and then one in Melbourne, what happened to that?

I don't care what you do - just stop post crap on here, get your act together and accept your view is not the definitive.
You are getting as bad as Dally - as soon as somebody has a view that is different to yours you get all defensive and your insecurity emerges. We are all union trolls its pathetic.
This normally takes the form a personal comment e.g. "His mother must have screwed an Aussie"
The NRL is in a different world to any other RL comp in the world, that doesn't mean that everything in the garden is rosy. The game on Wednesday was good entertainment but no one who watched could honestly say it was high quality - far too many basic errors. As for the regular competition the majority of the games are pretty basic safe stuff - the fear of losing is greater than the anticipation of winning.
Only two games have really stood out for me Bulldogs v Dragons and Warriors v Tigers but very different but both absolutely captivating.

| Two words come up a lot in your posts Sal, 'myopic' and 'chip'. Reading your posts I would say its you who suffers more than most from both of these conditions.
Focusing purely on the 24 points in SO 3 tells me your ability to see skill and endeavour in a game is sadly lacking. NSW defence for much of the game was excellent, but under that sort of pressure no team (and I include Qld in that) would have been able to prevail. Even as a NSW fan I can hand on heart pay credit to the skill of the Qld side on the night.
The only thing you got right was that Pearce is pants. Somebody said to me the other day bring back Wallace. Had to think hard about that one as im not his biggest fan, but under the circumstances I think he would make a good partner for Soward
