Nope.......Bending is what I said and bending is what is happening....but not HKA's fault....funnily enough, I blame the RFL.....It's not often they get things wrong so let's hope it's just an Isolated incident eh

Crux of the matter seems to be:
"With that in mind, the board decided that there was nothing to be gained from keeping a player like Willie Mason sat on the sidelines, simply because of bureaucracy."
Hand on heart could anyone claim it would have been good for the game for the RFL not to take that view?

At any cost? The only 'cost' here will be on Rovers if Mason's passport doesn't come through by the time Dobson's fit. I would have thought you'd be delighted with that possibility. |

Maybe, maybe not.
The point I'm trying to make is that the RFL seem to want high profile players here and seem happy to let this be facilitated regardless of the impact on the game in general. |

I guess the only thing i could see is that it gives clubs the option of signing an overseas player for a part of the season if one of their overseas contingent goes down. I don;t see this as a negative except it reduces opportunity for a younger english player to step up.

If we ignore the fact HKA had the option of not signing or releasing any of the other 5 overseas players they have.
The rules never stopped HKA signing Mason. They stopped them signing Mason, and 5 others.
