| Those who think the prices are a bit expensive, take a look at any theatre or concert tickets where there will be a live performance.
I think you will struggle to find better value.
Eg. Europe's strongest man competition at the leeds direct arena, cheapest ticket is £53.
That for seeing a dozen men lifting stones and other items, or much less to see 34 professional RL players go to war.
In terms of bang for your buck you don't get much better value love.

| RL fans are cheap. £30 to watch high level professional sport is more than reasonable in 2023.

Spot on
Our sport has been left behind due to lack of ambition
Certain fans don't help by wanting tickets next to nothing

| Compare season ticket prices between the EFL Championship and Super League. Not only are the football season tickets lower in price, but you get nearly twice as many games. In better facilities!
Of course, individual matchday tickets are often more expensive. Concession brackets are often more forgiving in football though.
Even some of the Premier League season tickets makes Super League look bad value for money. What I pay to stand at Headingley is about the same as the cheapest seat at Manchester City. Again, I get to see about half as many games at Headingley for my money.
I fully understand that RL clubs desperately need the money as a rule, and without the revenue from gate sales facilities are not going to improve.
I'm also happy to pay the ticket prices, both home and away, but I'm also lucky enough to be in a position where I don't need to worry about the price either. I know others that don't have the same luxury, and feel like they are being priced out of watching a sport they have loved for decades. There are examples in this thread. It's a shame to see those people leave the sport whilst simultaneously seeing empty seats at every game.

There used to be capped ticket prices in Super League too. How far do we go before our tickets are considered 'ridiculous'?

You can dissect the finances of each sports till the cows come home (and lets not forget that no RL player is getting obscene six figure weekly wages) , but it doesn't change the fact that you can get better value entertainment elsewhere, and some RL fans are being priced out of the sport.

Sure. But you are picking clubs that have decades long waiting lists for season tickets and sell out every week. Is that comparable to Super League that plays in half empty stadiums every week, and seldom sell out games? The supply and demand model is in their favour, it is not in ours.
Don't forget you can pay £100 per month for a Lopards season ticket - to see all 13 games! How does that compare to the likes of Arsenal and Man U in terms of value for money?

Obviously all the anti-homophobic strategies that both sports are actively using haven't sunk in with Thetalentboy yet.
I was ignoring that one.

| Warrington have reached 6,500 members, with 1,300 of those being the reintroduced Wolf Pack for Under 12s priced from £26.
Hopefully with the good start we’ve had we’ll have more part season and flexi memberships sold along with people who pick their matches.

We would if the flexi memberships were actually on sale. I wonder if it’s a deliberate ploy to push people to buy full season tickets but now the season’s started there’s no reason for them not to be on sale. Not the first year it’s happened either. That and paper only tickets in 2023 is baffling.

| So with a cost of living crisis and some increased ticket prices why do we think attendances are so good. Could the coverage on Channel 4 be helping to drive attendances to a wider audience. We have always had a good product but has never been marketed properly. Or are clubs upping their efforts to promote fixtures with the new IMG criteria’s on the horizon. Or is RL better Vanir than mother entertainment, football etc?

For me it's a mixture of Channel4 and the World Cup attracting new viewers, and also people feeling more confident to come back after the pandemic (2022 season tickets were on sale just as Omicron was on the march)
